My point is he's a young lad with bags of talent why would he want to stay at Wakefield when he could go to for instance saints or wigan Jerry stayed at Giants because he's a Huddersfield lad born and bred and didn't want to wear the shirt of another club - Murphy doesn't have that same loyalty to Wakefield so he has no reason to stay with you.'"
So you credit McGillvray with loyalty but don't think other players ever show that.
What about some loyalty to the team that gave him his opportunity?? Any reason why a player wouldn't want to return that?
Maybe that won't be a career long thing but it's certainly not unheard of for players to stick around with a team that has given them their breakthrough chance.

| Willie Poaching will probably hold his hand up to a few mistakes he has made this season but he deserves massive credit for the way he has managed Murphy and Hall. Murphy`s debut at home against Leeds was a very tough experience for the lad, I am guessing that many many more experienced coaches than WP would have taken Murphy off at half time and certainly would have not selected him for first team Rugby for some time. They would have ``protected `` the lad, allowed him to regain confidence in the reserves etc etc. Not Willie, he put him straight back in the firing line and boy hasn't the lad stood up and been counted. Massive credit to Murphy and WP. With regards to Hall he showed up really well in the pre season matches , not many others did, WP took on board what was on show and played the lad, again many other coaches would have said too young, too inexperienced so again top work from player and coach.

I thought about it for about three seconds then realised that I know the lad isn’t that stupid. Because you “gave him a chance” you think he’s going to stay with a bottom club for the rest of his career- a club he had no interest in before you came along and offered him a contract?
As for this idea that he has some kind of loyalty to the club that trained him- what an odd notion! How many jobs have you had- Are you still at the same place that offered you a position and trained you up, or have you moved up in the world?
He wants to have the best career he can, win trophies,
…… winning more games than he loses would be an improvement.

| It hurts me to say but unfortunately Jools does have a point.
We managed to keep hold of TJ for longer than anticipated but never added the same sort of quality on a season to season basis.
Without doubt murphy could go a long way in the game He may think he would be better off at Trin for a couple of seasons hanging around to see what the club have in mind regarding quality signimgs, and developing his own game.
He may decide to look at other clubs that are at least in with a chance of silverware.
One things for sure he will definitely generate interest.

I hope you don't get a nose bleed being so far elevated from us mere mortals.
You know absolutely nothing about me or my working life so don't get personal with me.

I think Jerry just likes the peace and quiet, and the odd pin drop.

You don't have a point, not of any interest to us anyway, Jerry more than likely stayed at shudds because of his uncle Kens chequebook like those Wakey players you nicked from us.
