If it's all true it shows that we're not really looking forward & we believe we're going into the champinship getting players who aren't popular with other teams has now caight up with us

Both been playing fairly regularly in recent weeks.

Nothing wrong with what we have. They are not the team we’d hoped they would be but with some effort and some basic rugby we can survive.

It has to come from within I’m afraid, absolutely none of the players mentioned would make jot of difference imho it’s to late for that.

I agree and we know this lot are capable of much better than what we are seeing. In fact it could be argued that just looking for a raft of new players every time we hit a rough patch is a sign that the coach isn’t capable of improving the performances and attitudes of the ones we have so tries to find an easy way out. A Kyle Amor, Oliver Roberts or Ryan Atkins are no better than what we already have.

I am surprised but the Roberts/Hampshire swap was actually close to fruition. It would appear to be on our instigation because we apparently needed another back row. It was stopped at the 11th hour by Hampshire who changed his mind and withdrew from the deal.
I am sorry but this would just be dumb it appears we are utilising the try before you sign. It is not for our benefit because I doubt we would be looking to sign Roberts just like our recent Salford player. I also don’t think you could say Hampshire does not try.
I really don’t see any benefit from this other than to weaken the squad.

From what I've seen and heard, Hampshire appears to want to stay at Wakefield, so surely it is in both his and the club's best interest's to sit down and thrash out a deal between themselves and then we can all move on and concentrate on avoiding relegation !!

Atkins, Westwood, Washbrook, Matongo,Amor, Matt Cook ... desparate times indeed !!
