Brilliant performance to be proud of as a fan last night which made the result so much harder to take. Don't know if anyone saw Martyn Sadler 's comment but I thought it was very disrespectful.

I'm pleased that apart from a couple of posters most realise how good Grix is and how valuable to the team he is.

Grix, overall, has been a huge positive for us this season and has made a massive contribution to us being 4th in the league. He made a mistake - all players do at some point. If it had been in the 10th minute it would have been forgotten by the 15th but because it happened in the 78th minute he's a coward and should be sacked. He's not the best full back in the world and he's definitely not perfect but, with two crucial league games to go he's got to be first choice. Unless of course CC decides otherwise (and I suspect his judgement on this matter will be a lot more valid than the opinions of forum posters)

Chris Chester said he wasn't the only problem in that last move and that he was the best signing he's made this year so I'm thinking Chester is ok with him playing.

Grix helped create two of our scores last night and had a decent game at the back as well (apart from that moment).
Everyone was gutted with the way we lost last night but, Grix will be hurting more than anyone and he has earned our support.
If he scores 2 next week and we beat Hull, everything will be just fine

The OP makes an outrageous proposition; Grix played a near perfect game last night - contrast his performance with the marquee player Ben Barba, who was like a rabbit in the headlights under most kicks that went his way, and got absolutely skinned by Toups, off a run created by a Scott Grix pass. Granted, that error was at a crucial time in a crucial game, but he shouldn't have been put in that position in the first place - so for me, he remains one of our best players this season, and it's grossly unfair to pin that loss entirely on him.

I hate posts like this; in a season where we're still in top 4 contention, despite having the lowest salary bill in SL, to round on an individual player and refer to him as stealing a wage, is bloody shameful.
