He's a bit of an enigma as to what position he should play. I personally feel LF is his position but he needs to hone on his passing skills. In fact, no disrespect to him because I like his style but I have yet to see him pass a ball - which rules out centre and LF!

Well we'll soon find out as I seriously doubt Smith would have stopped without being given total freedom to sign who he wants (within budget).

I think we are killing him playing down the middle. I want him as a wide running second rower targeting half backs.

Not loose forward for me your loose forward has to have a good pair of hands ( re- knocker Norton) and the basis of a top team is scrum half, stand off and loosse forward, the holy trinity, get these as top class players and the team is 90% picked.

Having given it some thought re Chris Anakin , he is a willing carrier of the ball and takes it in with real purpose but he doesn't hurt teams. Defensivley he gets swatted off by bigger and arguably better props (ie Chris Hill V Warrington @ home this season). I think he will always be destined to be a squad player and worthy of a place, but he'd not get in your first seventeen.

He may not hurt players but he takes some stopping therefore using valuable energy of the defence. Out of all the wakey team he's the last guy I would be wanting to tackle in the last ten minutes!

Anna kin could never pass, lacks hight ,but I'd have him any time in my side before Scruton a big lad with a heart like a pea how folk on here can rave about him I don't know, a perfect example of when it gets tough he goes into hiding

Think Ill go with Brian Smith who I reckon rates Scruton highly both as a player and clubman and as been a model professional during the recent episode with very foolish players, including the one who left previous to the last two.
