| Quote jack in the box="jack in the box"Yes fair point , and there was also Tim Smith on that flank defending who was playing on one leg. I would also disagree and say our forwards are not intentionally lazy but they are still lacking that edge in fitness. Just about every supporter in the ground has spotted we are not fit this season and although things may have improved they are still not at the level of other sides.
However back to my original point I still think that wing pairing is bad defensively although as you rightly point out there are also serious issues with other parts of our defensive line.'"
Whether through lack of fitness or attitude, if we leave Tim Smith, Lyne, and Tansey to defend one half of the pitch then we may as well paint a target on their shirts.
To be fair to Tim Smith, he can be seen shouting at the forwards after the first try down that side (presumably for not covering) but nothing changed .
Cas did nothing special on Sunday , they simply identified the weakness and exploited it time and time again. Very similar to the Widnes game at home except that was the other wing. Big questions around our second row IMO.

| If the guy is an actual centre then that puts him above pretty much anyone else that we have for that position. He will know the role and where he should be positioned. It's the basics that are letting us down.
Personally, I don't care if he is not a world beater so long as he does all the simple stuff right

| Is this guy related to Tame Tupou? If so, I hope knee trouble isn't genetic

| Quote Pound 4 Wrighty="Pound 4 Wrighty"Talking to friends in Oz, they are all confident he will go well over here. I quote "If Gelling, Quinlan, Ah Van & Phelps can make a living out of it, Tupou will be a star!"
Hands like cows teets apparently, but fairly quick and strong.
Unlike some, I will wait until i have seen him before slagging/writing him off.'"
Sounds okay to me...

| There isn't going to be that many options at this end of the season.
I'm prepared to see how he goes

He has played virtually all his games on the wing.

| So, the man has no chance before he even plays for us.
Some of you miserable negative posters need to go to down the lane, they deserve you.
Never good enough is it?

| But if they did that Manuel, they wouldn't have the opportunity to say "I told you so" the first time Tupou drops the ball
Or even, " Tupou is ok, but look what he was playing against" if he does well.

Like you Manual I simply cannot believe some of the posts on this forum. Yes they are opinions and we can all have them but we have what is considered to be one of the best coaches in Brian Smith and I think he has had more backing than we can probably afford to keep us in SL
It's time we realised the effort behind the scenes and thank god they are there as the alternative is no team and no WTW

Agree. Brian Smith has forgotten more about rugby league than any posters on here. If he reckons the lad can do a job, then that's fine by me.

| Get him in for Tansey for that performance last week. His interview before the Cas game didn't fill me with confidence either.
