On a slight tangent here, but at Sundays game our friendly stewards were making young kids get down from the red barriers (the ones Snowie worked on), they can't apparently sit on them now.

I agree with this one JINJER because when Leeds visited us there were three or four small kids climbing and sitting on the barriers whilst their parents were somewhere back in the stands and i remember cringing when i watched them, if they had fallen they would have hit the concrete steps, i spent most of the game watching them.

But kids have sat on barriers since I was a kid, what next banning kids climbing trees? Riding a bike?

There is also the fact that many struggle to see without sitting on the barriers because of the poor viewing a BV. But its health & safety overload again.

The problem is we live in a different world today, a less free but more health and safety conscious world. We seem to have the American disease of sue, sue, sue. For safety we are a much less free society

This is how I see it PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY, if you go all H&S would you allow them to sit on the seats in the East stand? They could fall off. What about standing upright on the terracing? They could fall down twenty steps. Both of my daughters were brought up watching Trin, both watched every game sat on the barriers (they stopped at 21, too heavy to lift up) and not once did they fall and hurt themselves, and do you know why? Cos every minute of every game I was stood behind them holding onto them, no H&S, my responsibility.
This isn't Trinity's doing it's the way of the world, unfortunately people expect others to keep their children safe, and the downside to this is claims culture, lots of people want something for nothing.
