......I have been one that has supported your right to post even when your opinions are so polarised BUT specifically on your post above, you talk about "you and many on here" and "this is what bothers many"
I haven't seen anyone else supporting your views on here. People agree that we are in trouble of course, but I haven't seen anyone concur with anything you have said over the past couple of weeks.
I am happy for you to post whatever you like (within the AUP) but I hope you don't think you are anything other than a lone negative voice.
I'd be interested to see if anyone would step forward to back you up.
I really like to discuss things with people who have a different view to me so all for the discussion but I just doubt that there are as "Many" that agree with you as you think.'"
Ok just to keep you happy I believe that next season will be a disaster I presume you do not. I believe the board are out of their depth and other than selling players have no other way of raising money. I believe they have no recruitment plan I presume you do. I believe that the crowds will suffer due to the standard of the playing squad I presume you do not. I think supporting the new RL structure was a mistake I guess you do not.
There are many others but you get the idea. If the members on here are happy then I shall remain a voice in the wilderness as you say but I will remain. I guess time will tell who was right but one of us will be and I do hope it is you but I fear it will be me.

| The guy 000000h does touch many a sore spot with supporters but..
Has a basic logic ...until the questions posed are answered it will give him the ammo to go on.
I do agree with him but at the same time realise that anyone attacting what we all love will in turn get attact .
The best form of defence attack! Isnt being practiced by the clubs inability to be as profesional as it should be.thefefore giving credence to agents coments.

| Ok that helps me. That's the clearest post I've seen from you. Your points are often lost in the negative spin. I've put my points below yours....
Quote: Agent XIII "Ok just to keep you happy

There is no doubt it will be difficult so we agree in some ways, but until player movements are finished I'm inclined to wait and see.
I believe the board are out of their depth and other than selling players have no other way of raising money.
I haven't seen anything to show they are out of their depth. They have little option to keep things going and have not varied from their original statement that we will get the team we can afford. I'm sure they'd rather have not sold anyone but if they can't pay the rest without a sale what can they do? Maybe they are out of their depth but with no one else I'm willing to give them a go.
With no extra income and some outlandish expensive wages they are putting things in order as far as I can see.
I believe they have no recruitment plan I presume you do.
I have no evidence either way but as they haven't really got enough players and Agar is sat with a great pool of available players I assume they have.
I believe that the crowds will suffer due to the standard of the playing squad I presume you do not.
Of course they will but that is up to the fans. Until we know what the team will be it's hard to see what can be done
I think supporting the new RL structure was a mistake I guess you do not.
To be honest I thought we abstained. And it hasn't been decided by the others either so I'm not sure it's a big worry for us yet.
There are many others but you get the idea. If the members on here are happy then I shall remain a voice in the wilderness as you say but I will remain. I guess time will tell who was right but one of us will be and I do hope it is you but I fear it will be me.'"
So we not that far apart, you just seem to have decided it is all over and I want to wait and see before I make my decision. And I'm happy to let the only guys who are willing to have a go at fixing it all.

From a playing point of view it may well be dissapointing (disaster will be finishing bottom which i dont think we will)
Would you consider finishing bottom a disaster baring in mind where we are starting from, or just a likely possibility due to the way the business had been run so ruinously by the previous ownership?
I believe the board are out of their depth and other than selling players have no other way of raising money.
Do you think that running a club by way of not paying your debts and liabilities was a sign of in depth management by the previous ownership and as a result of the position we are in now if you were CEO what would you have done differently to avoid all the problems you see as a result of the new ownership? (Theres twoquestions there!!)
I believe they have no recruitment plan I presume you do.
How can you recruit when you don't have the money to do it? Once the money issue is bridged i hope to see some players coming in that fit within the budget.
I believe that the crowds will suffer due to the standard of the playing squad I presume you do not.
I think this may well be the case, people are free to make their choice, but one thing is sure, putting out a team you cant afford is certainly not the answer as has just been made so very clear
I think supporting the new RL structure was a mistake I guess you do not.
I dont know enough about it, clearly you do, how?
There are many others but you get the idea. If the members on here are happy then I shall remain a voice in the wilderness as you say but I will remain. I guess time will tell who was right but one of us will be and I do hope it is you but I fear it will be me.'"
We will see, but just basing things on your flawed judgement i doubt it will be you, although you have a punchers chance i suppose

| it really is so simple... why it's necessary to make things trivial i've no idea
Problem:
The club were fielding a team they couldn't afford which was running the club to financial ruin
Resolution:
Offload assets (players) until the revenue catches up with the outgoings.
People asking "when will WTW make signings to replace who they've lsot", give your sodding head a shake.
the club is bailing water out of the boat, yet some of the fans want it pumping back in!
face-palm.

Problem
Is this a serious post Dave ?
Of course we will need to sign a number of new players for next season !
Yes, we have had to offload players. Some were on hefty/unsustainable contracts, others have needed to be sold to pay the bills and painful as it has been, in the absence of a wealthy backer, there hasn't been much choice.
But we need enough players to fulfil our fixtures and there sure as hell aren't enough on the books at present.
Most of us are hoping that we get a few players in on loan and the remainder will be largely made up of lower paid players who have something to prove and if we are really lucky, Mr Agar will have unearthed a couple of gems (just as he did with Aiton and Smith.
But we do have to sign some new players and with pre-season training already under way, how long do we have ?

Indeed. Good as he was, he isn't what we need now

| Liam Finn would be ideal at the moment.
I think the championship is the way to go - get some part timers in for a year on a full time wage
....I still really think it's that simple

| An I the only one excited by the thought of watching us with a few kids playing backs to the wall rugby in the season where relegation is due to return, if we go down big deal,we have no divine right to sit at the top table forever.

Not the only one, I can assure you.
I spend every off season excited by the prospect of the next - no matter the team. I enjoy watching them and over the years I have seen enough of that underdog spirit for me never to write them off before seeing them play.
