Quote braytontiger="braytontiger"Interesting Round 2 draw for u14s barla
East hull vs west hull
Crigglestone vs east Leeds
Siddal vs hull wyke
Been the highlights of the draw with the top 3 from yorks and Humber all drawing each other,
A trip to Milford for cas panthers which again won't be easy by any means.'"
Wests v Easts would be worthy of the final, as would Crigg v E Leeds.
West Hull have beaten East Hull 3 times this year but Easts have the history in the Yorks cup, game on !!
Full draw here
www.barla.org.uk/News/Details.asp?id=3417
SOme interesting draws in the U13 section too
After the might Sidall have gone out a few teams will fancy there chances now, Lock Lane now the favourites but id reckon Kippax is a tough draw for them , although home advantage should be enough.
East Hull v Skirlaugh is another good tie,its a 2 v 3 from the Hull league (ignore the local table, its a bit flawed)
Cas Panthers v West Hull should be another cracker, West Hull only lost 1 game in 3 years (last years YC final v Sidall) but ive seen the Cas lads play and again home advantage could just ease thenm the game on this one as West Hull havent had a competitive game for 4 or 5 weeks.
My lads have got a home game v Upton

I'd tend to agree with all you say. Panthers 13s have really kicked on in the past month or so and they should fancy their chances with locklane putting siddal out.

| Ridiculous that the next 2 rounds of the BARLA cup are at either end of the Half Term Holidays then a 5 week break to the final
I guess a few teams maybe missing some players

Year 9
Cathedral Academy 0 Vs 52 Ossett Academy
A very dominant display by Ossett to follow up their 6 - 56 win at Outwood Academy
The game was stopped early as it had become very one sided but that doesn't mean Cathedral weren't up for it, they played in a good spirit and got stuck in. One player in particular, with a familiar name, stood out as one of the best on the field despite being in the losing team.

| Castleford academy yr9 beat a very much improved minsthorpe side 32-18.
Cas were probably guilty of expecting another easy afternoon and found themselves behind for all but the final 10 minutes after having to dig deep to regain control.
Great to see another school in wakey comp come and have a real go and it can only do both teams good going into the Yorkshire cup next term.!!

Ossett y9 seem to be doing very good this year . I was wondering if anything like training or kids at Shaw cross, Dewsbury etc now joining in.
its great to see . Its unlucky to see cathedral as they normally have a good player or 2 but if all kids went to there closet school they would have a far stronger squad.
