The problem Agar was always going to have is that he wasn't a popular choice due to his failures at Hull and was regarded as a "jobs for the boys" appointment. He needed a good honeymoon period. Let's just say it was a short one. And that is why it was a short-sighted appointment, because it was always going to lead to this situation.

I reserve the right to completely change my position after a false dawn of a couple of good wins, and then revert back once we lose again, and to follow it with an unrealistically optimistic view of next season. |

Agree, said it before the start of the season and in that prediction thread, people were saying we'd come 8th and better, never going to happen, completely over the top expectations imo. We have a decent squad but no better, the team on paper isn't better than Hull KR's, London, Bradford and a fair few others, so I'm not sure what we're all expecting.
All the over the top predictions etc has been the cause of some of the threads we have on the site today. We put together a squad of last years better players, journeymen and two or three good players, it was always going to be tough this year but the key is building for the future and gradually improving year on year, hopefully in a brand new stadium. |

A major worry is where we can go regarding recruitment. We don't have many guys off contract, most of our signings were given at least two year deals. Short of jumping what we are spending massively our room for manoeuvre is limited.

To say you have a better team than Hull KR is ridiculous.
