Whatever it is, he certainly ain't earning any of it.
After leaving the Catalans game a few weeks ago full of optimism, the last two performances have left me dispondent. Two very winnable games against teams down in the same area of the table as us and we get beat easily by both and concede 70 points into the bargain.
The defence is a major problem, because bar Hull away (where conditions played a big part in the low scoreline), Widnes who have proved they aren't up to speed yet and Catalans where they only played for 35 mins, we have conceded more than 30 points in every game. Clearly, its no suprise that we have only won two games on the back of a stat like that.
Agar has had all pre-season and 9 games to iron these problems out, and so far I see no evidence of the mistakes we make every week from a defensive perspective being addressed.
The attack which had at least started looking to become decent, has become laboured and predictable in the main.
The team spirit that was evident for the first 7 games seems to have disappeared as well. Comments like "so proud to be part of this team" after the Wire game seem a world away from the body language we have seen in the last two games.
Anyway after that little rant, to answer the topic of the post, if I were Glover I would be :-
(1) Looking to get a couple of props in on loan (given we are playing second rows at prop - I would say any props with SL experience and some size would improve us).
(2) Tell Elston its just not working as far as Agar is concerned and get rid of him. If its the pay off thats a problem, lets start a pledge for survival similar to the Bulls, cos the longer Agar stays in charge the more fans will drift away and we will be back to scraping an existence. I would happily pledge a few hundred to the cause.
(3) Give Southern the option of going home. If he stays then at least that shows a willingness to roll his sleeves up and hopefully improve.
