| personally would rather have halifax and widnes in sl than crusaders and quins but thats personal choice! agree with the lost revenue part in travelling away fans.
Unfortunately expansion wount work in my opinion with a single club in wales or down south and it would be better served to have 2 down south and 2 in wales but 4 clubs taking up spots in sl where the support is clearly in yorkshire/ lancashire/cumbria is not a good idea.
To get a team in manchester would have been a better option.
I have no ill feeling towards quins or cru by the way and appreciate they are pro rl teams but i think they do not have the fan base and should not be sitting in sl and when nl would be more ideal for them to build their support bases up.
the phrase of "get your own house in order" first comes to mind. And that is build aa strong competition around Rugby town/cities in the heartlands and then expand outwards when the time comes.

Not the best argument for us to use really. I imagine that the Lancashire sides will be happy to swap us for Widnes and the increased away support they will bring. No club should be relying on away fans to boost their attendances we need to keep working at our own support not worrying about other teams.

I totally agree, as I live in Fax, I beleive that there would be a great support for superleague, better than Quins, Cru etc . Only way for rfl to fix it would be 16 team sl, with us and Halifax in

| Grrr where did my post go!!! anyway as it sould have said, I live in fax and I can see there would be good support here for a superleague team, but the only way it would happen is for the RFL to get a 16 team SL and that's not gonna happen

For me they offered somewhere different to watch Wakey for a couple of years now nothing really. They do however fit in with the RFL's expansion plans/dreams and as such will get a franchise.

| Dreams is right, they are not going to work until there are other teams close to them, and they must cost the RFL and other clubs lots to keep them there, don't the RFL pay for teams to travel to Cats?

| Desperately hoped for 5,500 before game, walked in 5 minutes before K.O and said to the lad next to me 5,200.
So I think 5,412 was bang on the money, a great improvement on last year and another sign of the way the club is being pushed under Mr Glover.
Well done everyone.

Damn right. It's about filling our ground with our fans, I have no interest in how many the opposition bring.
The attendance, by the way, described as 'excellent' by Andy Wilson of The Guardian today. rlhttps://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/blog/2011/apr/11/super-league-set-of-sixrl

More positivity in the press?
Excellent.

It wasn't an argument - it was a question.

| Looked more like 5404 to me but I could've misjudged it. Let's hope we can maintain it going forward

It probably doesn't make a massive difference when you consider the actual numbers that some teams take away from home. Look at the grief we give Hudds and Salford for their away support and the negative stuff we get about our away support. It's not like many clubs are taking thousands away from home.

| We seem to have created more intrest in Trin since the troubled times ,great to see,I just wished they could have been with us in the past and hope they stay with us.I recommend the hospitality packet on match days for a treat, was there with the original supporters club and had a great day with my family and mates, well done Wakefield .keep the faith.
