Its a shame that the previous owners of the club have taken the club to the position they did, and Im sure that if they had been ousted a few years back things would be different. all they did was s around in hospitality, paying the whole family inflated salaries, and benefits and ran the club into the ground. The Richardsons should hang their heads in shame, they have all but killed the club

one thing thats puzzling me about the franchises (apart from it should be P/R) is that why not announce the club who will be demoted at the END of the season, and not three quarters of the way through it?

Hope your right.......the RFL are a disgrace, but knowing their past form, they will definately promote widnes this time and then you can bet it will be halifax's turn the next time around......providing they tick the boxes in that period.

Everyone bangs on about rfl being bent etc etc. However after listening to JE at the fans forum it sounds like they have been more than helpful to 'us' over the past few months whilst under the old regime. Think rfl will be glad to see the back of ted et al but I think it will be too (not so much) little (as ag is making great strides in a short time) too late for us. However having believed a franchise decline would be the end of us previously I now believe it would just be the beginning of a new chapter in the history of wtwrlfc

For heavens sake is it not possible to attach any fairness or logic to anything involving the old and new regimes?

Mr Glover is not running a club with a huge debt owed to the inland revenue. A bill built up due to the faulty belief amongst all SL that they would get away with image right payments.

Mr Glover did not build the flats and the pull off the deal of the century to keep them after the CVA. Nor did he build the half decent toilet facilities we now have, or the crash barriers around the ground, or the bottle bar, the Wildcat shop, the new turnstiles and the list goes on. He also didn't pay the last time the floodlights were upgraded in 2006.

I'm not defending Richardson or attacking Glover but some perspective please. The fact is Glover has a clean slate and as yet has not had to spend any serious money at all. Lets see how enthusiastic he still is in 3-4 years time when the bills are stacking up again - and they will.

I'm not having a go at you in particular but this new messiah stuff with Glover is getting very tiresome. He's done nothing wrong, trouble is he's actually done nothing major yet. Many RL clubs especially us have been taken down the garden path before.

Untill we get definite clarification regarding our long term future especially Newmarket I'd hold fire. You only have to look at clubs like Rochdale and Oldham and many more to see how badly things can go from very promising starts.
