| Some major answers need to be made available by the club to any purchaser/s before any cash is handed over.
For a start you wouldn't buy any business without first seeing the books and second getting a solicitor to check over the terms and conditions.
As interested as it sounds, there are too many mysteries to this deal.

In an ideal world maybe but in reality, I don't think so; my view is that the sooner we forget about SL, the better - there is absolutely no way that WTW are getting a franchise in the next round.

| Are there any legal eagles that know what would happen to Belle Vue if the club went into administration?
If the administration process resulted in the current deal to sell the ground and the advance received becoming null and void would any potential fan trust purchase from the administrators result in the new trust getting the ground for a nominal sum as well as starting again debt free?

| Lets face it fellas, if the RFL see what Wakefield are trying to do with this approach to the fans, it will hardly make them feel positive about Wakefields licence bid.....will it??
Don't give Ted the satisfaction of pocketing your money and then doing a runner, if you really love the club let it go into Admin and then buy it for a song and use the money (that might have been wasted) on a good championship side which can build again and will also be a much better prospect for potential sponsors.
It all sounds very dodgy to me, it sounds like it is not involving the club accounts and its official share capital for some reason, why is this??
It makes no sense, however much you might love your club..........IS IT LEGAL, surely when asking for all this money they need to register it with some financial body or have some sort of legal pack?

| Before emotions get the better of a few of you, you have to be clear as to :
Why has it to be done by the end of the month ?
What debt will you be undertaking and under due dilligence you really need to know what liabilities you are buying into,
What safeguards do you have ?
Who owns the account that cheques are being made out to and what conditions are attatched to it, also what guarantees are being shown for monies in that account ?
Also i would speak to a fanancial advisor and take legal advice. Be very very careful, something doesnt look right and smacks of desperation, Im not trying to denounce this share option , but if you cant afford to loose a grand then dont do it, the risk is too great
They are offering perks for Newmarket and you they shouldnt do that, it hasnt been passed and isnt guaranteed to happen (hope it does eventually for you)
be careful, very very careful

| Quote Catwoman1="Catwoman1"The relevant question here is:-
"How much does the existance of Wakefield Trinity mean to you and how important is it in your life - and is that
worth £1000?
If it is then find a way ... whether it is getting together with a few others to make up the money or change/cut back on a few things, raiding the 'piggy bank' whatever.
Too late when the Club is no more - and trust me it is that important to raise the money, so where, why and to whom really doesn't come into the equation
I certainly know my answers!'"
If we are in such a state that we need £500K of supporters money to stop us folding/going bankrupt (which is what you seem to imply) then you have made my mind up for me.
Someone else can invest, because in a month we're bust, the board will resign, and someone will get a real bargain.
In my opinion £500K won't last that long if we're in such a mess and then we'll need another cash injection.
And we won't have it, and we'll be back at square 1, and individually that bit poorer.

Yeh Bren2k i guess it did sound a little bit condescending but i think what Speedy is trying to say is that as fans of any club that you have supported a long time, you can become very emotional over it and this can sometimes make you think irrationally!!
I think that Ted is hoping that will be the case and also that 500 smaller investors would not want to do the Due dilligence that one or two larger investors would, in essence they could get away with treating you all like Mushrooms!!

What an absolutely stupid question to put to people, people on here support the club in the best way they can through replica shirts, season tickets and the rest, thats how much the club means to them, you obviously are fortunate to have sufficient funds to be able to help the club, most on here won't have but will have considered that they have done their bit in the way they could afford to, perhaps if those who you are now defending had been more prudent in the past and I will go no further than that, then perhaps you would not be trying to lay the guilt card on these fans.
Quote Catwoman1="Catwoman1"Too late when the Club is no more - and trust me it is that important to raise the money, so where, why and to whom really doesn't come into the equation'"
Why all of a sudden is it so imperitive that the club has only three week to get this money sorted, because it seems to me that once again we are being led up the garden path here, can you say in all honesty that this money is for investment and not to pay off outstanding debts which we have been led to believe has been paid.
Quote Catwoman1="Catwoman1"I certainly know my answers!'"
Its good you do because there is a lot of us out here what don't, but would certainly like to unless of course we take your word for it as it seems that you are one of those in the know, and if you are congratulations for being in a very exclusve club.
