Quote Speedy="Speedy"How can you say that, if it was going to be in the favour of yorkcourt then they would have left it,
Are yorkcourt willing to take the risk on having to pay the potential costs involed in this if it goes against them, the cost implications are massive, in this climate, is it going to be worth it ?'"
Roughly 75% of all PI's go the way of the applicant and given the legal direction on the draft LDF (for 95 ha of B8 land on the M62 corridor) and the proposal to change the Newmarket site to a B8 employment zone, which I am fairly certain will continue under the detailed LDF consultation, and I don't think is held up due to the PI, that is why.
The worry for the NIMBY's is that the still end up with a B8 site, which is very, very likely, albeit possibly a little smaller in overall area and Wakefield and the community gets no benefit whatsoever!
Also, PI's are great at showing people's selfish NIMBY attitudes towards developments (of any kind) and the objectors very rarely make a good case and mostly make things worst for themselves by doing the usual, we don't want this here mate, build it over there instead, attitude!
