| Nice to see something like that go to a genuine fan. I'm sure you'll get a lot of pleasure out of it over the years, Slugger. Well done!

| I for one glad it has gone to a fan rather than a collector, shame Mick didn't win it though to go in the Museum.

Once it went over a couple of hundred it was going out of my price range - but also glad it has gone to a fan - well done Slugger ..... as you are framing it and puting it on your wall, maybe your wall can go in the Trinity museum
I'm going on my hols later this month - the money I didn't spend on the shirt can go towards by drinking funds ... it won't be wasted

| I have the match ball for the 1979 cup final, signed by all of the Trinity and Wines players. It was given to me by Bill Ashurst and David Toppliss, when they visited me in hospital. I was really ill as a kid and my dad arranged for the team to visit. An amazing moment, made even better when they brought in the match ball for me.
If we do get the museum off the ground, then I would like it to go there. To me it is priceless, but I would be happy to give it back for Wakefield.

You should 'loan' it to the club. I think the club will get a lot of items offered that way. At least you can retain the satisfaction of knowing that it is yours.
Amazing item - as you say, 'priceless'!

| I did have the programme completely signed by the entire squad and the coach driver as it was my mum who collected the sigs at Unity where she was working at a shindig they had there afterwards, he was wearing a blazer with badge on so just got him to sign it, think his name was Alan Mansfield, left it at my exes when we split up, my dad still thinks i have it. Gutted i will never be able to get it replaced, also left a Liverpool signed ball from Daglish's playing days and a signed Wakefield ball from Ray Price season (forgot the year) not to mention all Wembley Programmes amongst many benefit programmes and souveneers i had built over the years, probably not worth much in value but gutted i no longer own them.

| Quote: Slugger McBatt "It was me!!!!!!
Just had conversation with wife along lines of that it is an investment, that it will be worth loads more in 20 years time. She hasn't agreed with me, but she blew £350 on Northern Rock shares when they were at rock bottom on the basis that the only way is up. Er, there was still some way to go down with those.
Good friends with a picture framer and so it will be safe behind glass soon, presented as it ought to be.'"
Glad its gone to a "proper home" enjoy it i would.

| Arrived today. It is in superb condition, and from the two holes in the back shoulders, I think it had previously been on display. Two problems though.
1. It whiffs a bit, and so I am going to have to stop my wife from washing it.
2. Bigger problem: it would fit me just fine, and I so want to wear it to the games. But I won't. I'll frame it. But I would look great in it.
