| Quote dboy="dboy"Are, as legend has it, the Leeds fans revolting?'"
I wouldn’t say they were at revolt stage yet sadly. However, there was very little belief that the team were capable of coming back to win the game which in Leeds teams gone by would not of been the case. It was a pleasure to sit amongst them with a smug grin on my face!

| I thought we were magnificent , some quality expansive Rugby League and solid and resolute in defence .
Really proud of the boys tonight because it's never easy going over to Headingley and especially in Round One .
Hopefully the casualty list isn't too bad for Thursday night .

| A few other points I noticed. Our rotations seemed to be disrupted by injuries and the sin bin which didn’t help us toward the end of the match. I’m not sure why Faatili only got about 10 mins, I was a bit disappointed. Vagana showed up well considering that’s his first game back. Leeds didn’t threaten us at all unless coming off the back of errors or penalties. We controlled the speed of the play of the ball well and defended well out wide, I was impressed with how Pratt and Hall defended some tricky situations. That is all from me.

Not too sure about the last 2 minutes of the game, but I saw that ex gobe Leeds player who now works for sky sneaking out of the ground 2 minutes before half time if that helps

| Thought we were unbelievable in that first half. Pitts, Trueman and Lino were on fire. Every time it went out the back they made good decisions and executed well. Massive shout for Matty Russell - he took some horrible carries and always made metres and found his front. At this time of year particularly he’s a shoo-in for me.
Plenty of mistakes crept in through the second half and I was so sure we were going to lose it. Because in the past we would’ve. But this squad is a bit different isn’t it. Also helped that Leeds just looked toothless as the game wore on. Superb win.
As mentioned above, we’re now quite deep into the squad already. Guessing Hood is out for a while as he’s not the kind of player who limps off. Would be happy to see Doyle go to 9 and Olly Russell spell, and hope Atoni’s back.

| Russell was a human cannonball today. Brilliant out of the back. Lino seems to have simplified his game and looks like a real organising half back. Great start.

| I thought we (nearly) screwed up our interchanges.
We looked very tired in the last 5 minutes of the 1st half and also for a period in the 2nd.
I agree that I expected to see more of Fa'afiti.
It perhaps reflects our disrupted build up.

| Agree with what everyone else has said....outstanding performance from the whole team...we kept Leeds pointless for 39 minutes in the first half and then 39 minutes in the second half...it doesn't get much better than that
( And I'm told I've got my mush on the Trinity X and Facebook pages )

| Eating humble pie after one match The spine of the team looked great Lino and Truman look like they will give any 6 and 7 a battle in S L. Russell is just a tackling machine and would be happy to see him play at 9 all season .The defence was unbelievable and went up higher when we played with 12 men for part of the last 15 minutes. We did not give any silly penalties away and the completion rate looked high .In the first half thought we played some of the best open rugby I have seen from Wakefield for a long time .If we can play with so much skill and passion for the rest of the season could be interesting season

| Russell was my man of the match followed closely by captain M&M.
Trueman is genuine quality and I think that will help Lino as he just has to do the simple stuff and leave the game breaking plays to JT.
Some very workman like performances too in the trenches Storton was very good as was Croft in less eye catching but tough defensive efforts.
The scramble defence and 1% effort areas were the defining difference for me today.
A great day to follow Trinity. Cracking atmosphere plenty of overindulgence but nobody misbehaving.

| Storton’s performance particularly going forward reminded me of prime Danny Kirmond. Also always nice to see Connor being made to look like a mug.

| Jack Croft for me. Seriously changed my mind. Tackled brilliantly and made meters in contact
