Exactly what i have been lead to believe.

What we should do IMO is let DB discuss terms with who ever he wants, on the basis he honors his contract with us, that way he/his agent can start the bidding war they want in order to get the big pay day they need, we have time to search for the replacement we want and other clubs wont upset their own dressing rooms by pushing players into transfers they don't want.

Everybody wins.

great for all 3 teams involved with the uncertainty ..is broughy going to perform to his best if he is still playing for us knowing there is more money elsewhere and we won't let him go because not enough money is on the table? do shudds need a half back for "other" reasons ? what about hull kr and cookie? and mid season tap up's? surely confuses me all this !

We really don't have time on our hands re getting a pay off for Danny,the pay off we get will be a simple equation i'd guess.Time left on Dannys contract ,8 months of 12 months (at the beginning of this season)so 2/3's left,X's a months pay,assuming he's on £90,000 that would equate to £60,000 we'd get for him,every month it stalls that will be reduced until we get to the end of his contract,he goes and we get no pay off!I'd say if we have to cash in then time is of the essence.

You have to factor in to that the value to us, regardless of contract money
and the potential value if we let other clubs bid for him too. That is why Hudds get to pay more to have first crack!
