Cas have to play Warrington and we do not appear to have any possible chance of a win with our remaining fixtures

I keep seeing that our run in is easier than the one Cas have. Is it?

We have 3 of the top 4 to play plus the two teams in 6th & 7th battling it out for the last play off place.

They have 2 of the top 4, one team in the play off battle (warrington who have been useless recently) and two teams in Hull & Leeds whose seasons will likely be over by the time they play them.

Yes we’ve 3 home games left but two are Saints and Catalan who are now flying. Personally i think ours is pretty damn tough and its a huge uphill battle from here.

The team that run out last night for us was more than capable of a win over Cas. But to do that they had to get stuck in and take the game to Cas ,but after 10 mins you could see the effort wasn’t there and we got what we deserved by a team full of confidence unlike our lacklustre excuses of a team

Don’t agree as I think they did get stuck in. We started the slower of the two teams but wasn’t terrible. After about 15 minutes we were on top and the better team until about 35 minutes when due to a mistake we completely lost momentum and conceded two try’s to turn the game on its head.

Even in the second half we got on top a number of ocassions (enough to win) but just couldn’t get over the line. I attribute some of that to our halfbacks who didn’t really do the business last night.

Unfortunately Lino/Gale is not working. 3 games now. The initial was promising but last two have been poor.

Most on here will know my thoughts on Lino that I believe he lacks the ability/quality. He’s full of enthusiasm which I applaud but I just don’t think he’s good enough at all. I know he signed a 3 year deal. I do hope it isn’t for championship too (though he may find more gaps in defences for his running game in championship).

You would struggle to make one top 6 SL team out of both sides, and for me that says just how both have shown a total lack of respect for the composition.
Two badly run clubs that are extremely lucky 2 teams are not relegated.

We got over their line 4 times without scoring.
We were dominant to get there. We were poor at executing to not get tries.

I believe in the end we massively bottled it, got outmuscled in the middle and Castleford had the better RL IQ on the night. They attacked our weaknesses in our structures better and won very comfortably in the end.

Don’t think they won the middle. In fact I think overall trinity won the forward battle or at the least it was evens.

I said before the game that Ward will have them ship it to the edges. He did exactly the same at London and is a very readable coach. They did exactly that. Shipped the ball to the edges many times during the game early and late in the sets. We failed to prepare for that.
