Well it may have looked to have a lot of space but the people around me complained of the lack of room and others about poor views.

Remind me not sit next to you on a plane then.

Were they not looking at the pitch and facing the wrong way?

Has to be said especially on the face book pages , boy do people like to moan n groan about anything and everything , and make mountains out of molehills . Looked great from where I was stood out in the elements on the lower tier , maybe they’d like to swap me when the inevitable rain comes , because I had a cracking view

To be fair, the shallow rake and crumbling, uneven terracing of what was there before offered far better views and was much safer so I can kind of see their point.

Some interesting comments there folks. I think what people where referring to re the view was that because the north stand was so crammed smaller people couldn't see because of taller people in front. In the old north stand you simply moved a bit to gain a view but in the new stand you couldn't do this as it was so full i. e people standing on every row of the terracing.

The photo clearly shows that isn't true. It's just that the free areas were somewhere else in the stand and compared to the old terrace you are in a higher position compared to the row below.
Take photos next time. I'm interested to see what it's like as I'm only viewing for outside the area.

With the next home game being v Hull KR the North Stand may get a better test with the possibility of the Western Terrace returning to away fans only.

The vantage point is 100% better than before, the rake of the old terracing meant you could barely see the try line over the lower terrace no matter where you stood and I'm 6ft 2.

Perhaps they should put height restrictions on the terrace steps a bit like the rides at theme parks then the north stand would look like a giant sized team photo with the tallest at the back, the normal people in the middle and the midgets at the front.
