If Carter had've sold Kirmond then it would've caused uproar and probably signalled the end of the club. He was our stand out player at that time and local to boot. Ask your parents they probably remember.

I hear that this was something to do with the Smith departure coupled up. With Smithy wanting to offload Kirmond possibly something to do with the same deal. Again only hearsay
