but If I am honest I still stick with my original post... this is not a first grade player... and has not shown significant form for over 3 years now.

and so what if the players have a good word for him... remember we signed Brent Todd on the back of a recommendation from Mark Graham... and it ruined our season.

I disagree.

In a career where he's spent a fair amount of time in the forwards, In 2008/9 he played 30 1st grade games for Parramatta, scoring 9 tries. In 2010/11 he played 33 1st grade games for Cronulla, scoring 4 tries, and so far this season he has played 9 1st grade games for Parramatta, scoring 1 try up to press. He also won rookie of the year in 2008 which was followed by a call up to the kiwi squad...all before the age of 25. Granted, this season has seen him drop into the NSW cup due to injury but still, the NSW cup isn't bad - and SL has seen plenty of players who have come from the NSW cup comp and who have performed well in SL.


When all things are considered, what sort of significant form are you after? if he was in such significant form, he wouldn't be coming! From what we know, and what Ive seen of him, I think he's going to improve our first 17.

I think this is key; we're a team operating in the bottom half of SL, spending significantly below the salary cap - hence, we're not likely to be picking up the likes of James Tamou or Jesse Bromwich anytime soon.

If this turns out to be true, good luck to the lad - personally, I won't write him off as a failure until I've seen him play for us.

He is not named in the NRL or NSW Cup teams this week
