Not only that, does AG want to risk losing the momentum his involvement has helped create.
In three years time, he may look back on a wasted three years, at best!!

I wouldn't put it down as the worst, but probably one of the most disappointing. But i think that is down to peoples inflated expectations and presumptions at the beginning of the season. I think we've shown flashes of class in quite a few games. But we seem to be lacking passion, determination and grit to carry one when we go two tries down. I don't see the dogged attitude were used to from our players anymore....

I think one of the things missing from this side and it's down to the huge turnover of players is, we've got no players left from a few years ago that lived through the sad deaths and the back to the wall attitude that came with being the underdog and having to fight for every win. I think it's being said before the teams lacking a few guys who have been there and done it at Trinity, who know what's it like to get slagged of each week and given no respect what so ever by certain sections. If we had a Morrison & a JD on the pitch it would work wonders imo.

The fact that the team lacks a natural on-field leader is obvious to everyone. We could really do with someone to give the players a damn good rollocking when they are stood under the posts for the umteenth time.

We look like a side thats had our lips stitched up apart from Smith virtually no one else communicates. We do need someone who says it like it is and gets the others wound up to spill blood. The side need to go on the pitch and play as if they were at war not as if playing touch and pass.

Yes, I think the sides lacking a strong, communicator, leader on the pitch, it would also preferably be someone that's been at the club a few years but obviously there isn't no one like that since Morro retired.

The year after we got robbed at Wigan in the play offs was not the greatest although in some ways, similar to this as expectency levels were higher than we are traditionaly used to and we came crashing down to earth. From the moment Ellis left pre season and was replaced by Jules O'Neill a couple of weeks before the season started we were onto a hiding to nothing.

Always felt it was a big opportunity missed, as with a bit of investment (not sure where from??) in that team we could have stuck around the mid to upper table for a few years i think

I tend to look on things with the view that we are basically a brand new team. Similar to when Catalans and Crusaders came into the league and had a team thrown together. They both struggled to begin with as do most 'new' teams, but look how good Catalan are doing now they've established themselves as a team

Yes can just see him stood there with his empty pockets hanging out and scratching his head, just thinking where did it all go.

Glad its not my money being chucked away. Respect for the bloke in the way he has got so many things better and feel sorry for him in the way he has been let down. However like you seem to suggest if he isn't happy with the way things seem to be working out, he is the only person that can do something about it.

Quote: jack in the box "If you mean those neighbours that attracted 15,000 last night and although they lost, the atmosphere and standard of rugby was far superior to what we dish up at Belle Vue.
There was no one more critical than me about Wakey people supporting Leeds but now I can understand why they do it although I would never do it myself.

Not knocking your post mate as I really admire your loyalty, but the fact that so many of us no longer feel the same about our club is really worrying. 5 newbie season ticket holders I know have stopped comming. 2 of our group of 5 do not intend to come again next season. A few thousand left the ground on Sunday looking totally fed up with about 10 minutes to go. I know the hardcore supports will always be around but if this continues Belle Vue will be a much quiter place next season.'"

Sorry not Leeds i was inferring I was thinking more in the Wakefield District, why would someone from Wakey want to desert to Leeds other than glory.

I'm still banging my "its year zero" drum, definitely a season for finding things out, my only expectation is that next year we perform better than this year and we don't finish bottom this year. I'm still enjoying it - I've watched them go through worse runs than this and no doubt there will be worse runs in the future. I must be a masochist but some of my best memories are the last day survivals, waiting for other games to finish so we know if we're down or not.

Though as I say, from next year when all the new processes and staff have fully settled in, that is when I expect to see a marked improvement, hopefully towards the end of this year.

Quote: GET EM ON SIDE REF "for me the worst was 2003 Dallas Hood etc a shock win at Sts but thank god for Halifax that season but we still have a long way to go before we reach the lows of season 1985/86 when it took 23 games to post a win'"

86 was depressing , relegation was the key to wining lol

It's more a worry that we have wasted the time, and gone further behind making the challenge that bit harder, AG is a grown up, I'm sure he isn't stupid enough to put all his eggs in one basket (i bloody hope not anyway!!)
