There is no doubt that the current "moaning and groaning" has caused sufficient pressure for MC to pick up the phone to Matthew Shaw requesting a little sound bite. Thats how it works.

I completely agree. The made up rumours forced their hand.
Where we seem to differ on opinion is that it was completely unnecessary. I'd rather they concentrated on getting the deal done than having to deal with "malicious rumours".

The communication levels have been crap for a while. E.G. listening to Mark Applegarth interviews made me look for the number of Dignitas.
This statement could have been issued earlier if it was already in hand as stated. That’s how you keep people in the loop, cut out the crap and try to raise at least some morale in what, as is stated is the legacy of the worst season in many peoples memory. So just on the press release that PT says wasn't necessary and wasn't catalysed by anyone lying about the rent for the East Stand, if you think that information has been thin on the ground up to date, well it will be non existent for the next 4 weeks as they do some serious DD. There will be information and financial embargoes galore - unless expressly agreed by The Board / Ellis Consortium.

So that's 4 more weeks worth of arguments on here then. At least.
