| Quote les-goose="les-goose"Well from what I have been told this morning one player told by Webster he was going out on loan has now been told he is not and in squad for Sunday. Both under Agar and Webster he would get the odd game pull up tree stumps even at prop even though he is not big enough for and be then shipped out on loan/dual reg.OK he has been injured this season so New York bar has part of his wish come true will we also see Sammut come in from the cold. This set of players with the exception of a few need to start and give it some as who knows like us looking around the ground for potential new coach he could be there looking at his potential players and if like me and many more if he thinks any of them are just going through the motions they might not make his squad and then who would look at giving them a contract due to attitude.'"
Excellent, hopefully being held back hasn't hindered his development too much and he fulfils his potential.

| I am going with a different viewing point even though I was going anyway. I am happy Webster has gone and I am happy the club are not rushing into a decision for the next coach. I would rather the club appoint the right man even if it takes a few weeks. This is the biggest appointment since the Kear great escape!

| Ali won't be playing this week. Got his ankle in a brace and on crutches.
I'd go with;
Jowitt
Riley / Owen
Lyne
Collis
Johnstone
Sammut
Smith
Anderson
McShane
Scruton
Crowther
Washbrook
Kavanagh
Godinet
Molloy / Ryan
Paea
Annakin
This isn't a dig at Kirmond - because personally I think Kirmond has been one of the players that show their commitment to the club - But player welfare comes first and the guy really needs a break!
Also there is potential to have 4 home grown players in that squad. 4 more than we had sunday...

I have faith in Hall, think he's shown some good flashes which could be more effective behind a rejuvenated team, needs to stop with the poor touch kicks though!

| A few changes here and there would do me. Those that have been playing week in week out and delivering nothing should be replaced, they've had their chance, far too many in fact. Godinet not in the 17 last week was baffling, Sammut isn't everyone's cup of tea but he deserves a chance at least in the halves so Miller and maybe Smith would be dropped for me. I would have Annakin in if fit every day of the week, this kid runs it in hard every time, tackles well and never shirks responsibility. Lyne didn't make it last week but i'd have him back in and would have Ryan in in place of Kirmond who needs a rest. Let's see who Dickens goes for and see if it makes any difference with Webster gone. I'm looking forward to finding out what the squad is and seeing the game come Sunday afternoon. It's vital now that we get back to some positivity and build from there.

| Sammut in for Miller, but leave Tim where he is.
As some have already said he 'ran the show' first half against Leigh.
If the rest are not where they should be on attack Smith is made to look ordinary.

| I don't agree that Sammut just deserves a chance because he is there.
If he shows up in training or when on loan then so be it but I haven't seen anything to make me change my mind on that.
My preferred choice would be Miller at fullback, Godinet at SO and Smith at Scrum half.
If McShane needs a rest, we'll have to use Washbrook for a while.
I'm not sure about Hall at the moment. He isn't impressing me enough, even though he is actually the one making some breaks.
Kirmond is a question mark for me.
I said to my brother that he didn't seem to be doing anything when he went off but clearly he left a hole as they scored 3 tries while he wasn't there.
But young legs are clearly needed so I like Annakin coming back in

Quite - how can Tim run the show with no possession! If we had gained any element of control in that second half, then we would have won. But then we wouldn't have changed coach either!
If the price for SL survival is losing at home to Leigh, then I'll take it. We have to make this situation work for us now!

| Poptart not looking for an argument but why do you want Miller at fullback? Last year IIRC you thought Sammut should play fullback instead of 6 and that was a disaster. IMO Sammut needs a run at 6 alongside Smith, last year Warrington away these two were paired and it proved successful. halfbacks are not the answer for fullback, just because Tomkins was a success doesn't mean it will work for every halfback.
Craig Hall is an enigma. He wears the 1 shirt, but watching him this season just reminds me how badly we miss a proper out and out fullback, such as Matty Blaymire or Richie Mathers. Neither set the world alight, Blaymire slow in attack, Mathers shaky in defence, but both would be better options than any we have right now.
