| What if its Mellars that leaves and is replaced by another second rower but opens up a spot for an overseas/non fed trained halfback or prop to come in thereby not reducing the squad numbers but increasing the options.

Would make sense, Mellars has sort of sprung to life in the last few games, putting himself in the shop window perhaps?

| Mariano hardly "goes missing" any more than any other player and when he plays i'd say he's the main line-breaking threat among the forwards. Think it would be a mistake to let him go and sign a guy who has hardly played because of two bad injuries. Infact, it makes zilch sense.

We will never know the full story; it's safe to assume however that if he was the world-beating prospect that some of the armchair head coaches on here would have you believe, he'd either be playing every week for us, have been signed up by a top 4 side or would be one of the players rumoured to be off to Aus. Since none of those are the case, there must be another reason that he's not a first team regular.

| I'm a little confused by the signing IMHO. We need a prop and another player who can play 6 or 13 to put pressure on Sykes/Washbrook. We have lots of back rowers now unless Mariano or Mellars are going? Likely to be Mellars due to form and size of contract.
Can Molloy play 13?
Why did Salford let him go as soon as Noble arrive?

The lad is ready to get stuck in on Saturday and get some fitness and game time under his belt, Agar is obviously satisfied with his condition otherwise he would not be here. Pleasing thing is about this signing is he's young, British, wanting to be the best he can be. Also going by what others have said has had to contend with some injuries so let's see what he does on Saturday.

I will try and assist.
He left Huddersfield last November. He was carrying an injury.Sometime between then and March this year Phil Veivers
signed him to Salford but he arrived/was announced as a signing after Veivers had been sacked. It was stated he was 3 weeks away from fitness. rlSourcerl
On 25th March RLE reported that Salford had terminated his contract.Alan Hunte being quoted as saying Molloy had a knee injury and it was left in the hands of the chief executive at Salford.
A week or so ago it was reported that Molloy was going to a tribunal via the RFL regarding the matter.
It seems he has been training with your players for some time and Richard Agar is happy.
I wish the player well.It may be the timing of his arrival was the problem but a Salford follower has posted on the 'Player Movement' thread on the VT.
He had been through the Wigan academy system before he went to Huddersfield.

Agree, we haven't got a clue what goes on in training and behind close doors, whether he's lazy, bad attitude or whatever ateotd Agar is there to pick a side to win games, if Mariano isn't in the side there must be reasons and not because his 'face doesn't fit'.
