Top six 2005 - Trinity.:

I was thinking about the Hickey debate today.

For me the pre-season should start here for him.

Hickey has been thrown into games and as a player naturally will want to play if his coach picks him. We have seen glimpses of how he can be devastating close to the line.

He now has an excellent chance to start early and get his fitness up and work on his physicality.

Hickey could be like a new signing for next year if he is handled correctly. Come pre season games he could very well be a machine and back I'n fighting fit form and battering teams down the middle leading the pack.

He has had some stick of late which maybe justified a little but some of that should be directed towards the man who has picked him for games.

He is a pro player and will approach the preseason with the correct attitude I would expect.

This is what I hope will be happening and we could see a good return from his signing.

As for other players, well just one or two QUALITY overseas players will do of a good quality and preferably not to the back end of their career.

I'm sure there will be many options at present but I hope we aim high.

With the positive licence decision, the more professional structure and the imminent upgrade of belle vue we should see a few more players willing to sign with good old trin.

Im sure The Clan wouldn't say no to Arana Taumata who he tipped up a yr or so ago a young exciting half back, I also believe we were close to signing Siosaia Vave last year as another young aussie at prop, and maybe shannon mcpherson.

I have a limited knowledge of NRL so maybe talking the brown stuff lol

i can tell you for a fact, up till yesterday teatime korki hadn't signed for anyone. think he has gone ok this season. at least with korki you know he wants to play for wakey. he has played through injury a few times this season and imo always gives 100%

Hope Korki does stay, some people might not rate him anymore but I still think he's a very good prop. Saints home was his best game this year I thought.

i'd agree with that. thought he went well against hull away and early in the season when we had only really got him with any sort of size when king was out. he put in a massive amount of work. hope he stays

Once a Sandal Wild Cat always a Sandal Wild Cat. Some talk of Bradford Northern and some of Hull and Leeds Of Wigan and St Helens and such great teams as these Of all the teams in Rugby league with me you will agree The best team in the whole wide world is Wakefield Trinity! Arana Taumata: Stood down on June 17 over allegations he had tried to obtain valium with a stolen prescription.

Looks good from what I saw in 2009 (when he first broke into the Bulldogs- with Hickey), not seen that much of him in recent years (although I struggle to find time for the NRL now) that allegation does worry me.

Smith is not very good but today at least he tried, maybe it did not come off and we need to look to the future but do try watching the game.

I thought Tadulala put the effort in today but the bloke inside him was taking the urine.

Isn't Jason Chan already signed up for Widnes??

Also after the match saw David Howes go straight on the phone outside the ground,So obviously lining players up from 1 of the clubs!

Tony Martin was negotiating a deal with a bloke in the crowd at one point - when asked if he was coming back, he shouted, "Have a word with your chairman!"
