If/when the stadium is built, what do think it will be named? I don't think there could be another Langtree Stadium but "The YCP Stalking Horse Stadium" or even "The Rhubard Bowl" do have a certain ring to them.
You seem to be in the know so what do you thing the odds of NM been approved?

| Although it is reasonable to expect the worst, given our history, in the current economic climate it would be a staggering decision not to approve a project on the site of an old colliery that will bring construction jobs and thereafter permanent jobs. Plus a few average Aussies.
If a neutral observer looked at a "no" decision, they would regard it as madness, with the mess we are all in.

I agree! If it doesn't go ahead and I see Mr Pickles on TV moaning about the lack of jobs I will throw whatever is in my hand at the TV. If this doesn't go ahead it will be a national disgrace our city is improving but unfortunatly jobs aren't this development will be a much needed asset for people looking for work. Local sport facilities in this country are like a 3rd World country and this development will be great for the local community. Also the added fact a lot of the land is coming off green belt soon is a huge bonus.
OLD RUN DOWN COLLIERY = TIME FOR CHANGE !!!

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

His TV will be fine.
In fairness to the application & it's merits there should be little discussion really in my view, the nation/local area need the jobs, it's not what most people think of a green belt (with many "sloppy" people/even some journo's refering to it as "green field"- which is certainly is not!) & should have been open & shut 18 months ago in my view- but that's a side issue in relation to NGBFC's claims of anger should this go against us.
Anyone who moans as much as NGBFC clearly has obviously never played RL & ergo can't throw for butter. He'll be lucky if the remote makes his feet!

I move from moments of confidence (based on what I & many other perceive to be the many benefits of the development) to moments of dread & fear (based upon my feeling to the con-dems & the rationale they've used over the last 2 years) in the blink of an eye.
As far as a party for any positive news goes I think we should coincide it with the 9's & get as many people down as possible. Occupy the north terrace, sing & be merry whilst the games are on & then all into The Cats Bar for some speeches & mutual backslapping. In the timeline of events in our many attempted moves away from BV this event would be a serious milestone & needs photographic documentation. I for one would love to be photographed being part of a large group celebrating our move from our (to date) one true home. Hell I feel we've all earned the right to say "I was there" in decades to come.
