Just when you think Johnson and the government could not get any worse they choose this time to waste almost a million pounds to paint his plane in red white and blue, a minister breaks the Covid press conference rules by criticising the opposition who must have the right of reply and then the health secretary breaks the self distancing rules.
I know they couldn’t break any more promises but yes because apparently the app in the track and trace may not be ready until winter. We have no need to worry because it is not that important because we have our tracers. It would be worth ridiculing the disaster if it was not for the facts that these failures have caused unnecessary deaths.

I'm pretty sure none of the things you list there have caused any deaths.

The last could but it is systematic of how the whole pandemic has been handled. It is not possible to get away from the fact that our number of excess deaths makes us one of the worst in the world.

It was never about handling the pandemic for this government. It was all about managing the political message and the PR.

I have not yet resorted to either of these platforms for my information, nor will I. If I wanted fake news to use Trump I would take the word of Johnson as gospel.

Spot on S P one of the smallest Countries in Europe but one of the highest population .People packed in like sardines from all over the World apart from Wales and Scotland

I have no problem with immigration,I do have a problem with how the government has handled the pandemic. If the number of excess deaths was immigration lead I am sure Germany would have a much higher rate than they have.

The fact that my wife had to stay away from her job, that I haven't hugged or seen much of my 6 month old granddaughter, plus my nine year old granddaughter...That my previously very active 98 year old neighbour is now housebound, cut off from friends and family.

It is not about “proving” a case it is about presenting evidence. No one can absolutely prove their case....YET.

Presumably you know for sure that any other party in government would have done it differently and had overwhelming success.

Well holding the government of the day to account for its actions is not the same as saying a government of a different hue would have automatically done better. Demanding accountability for government actions should be something we all want irrespective of our political affiliations. For example I've read plenty of moderate tories who lamented at the state of the Labour party because they recognised that in a healthy democracy there has to be an effective opposition and the government must be open to scrutiny.

It doesn’t matter what anyone else would have done because it is irrelevant, I don’t remember the Government asking them do you. The only certainty is how the current government has handled the pandemic, which is at best shambolic. If it had been a success would you be on here saying that the rest would have done it better I doubt it.
