It stuns me that people bag Finn for playing the game exactly how he is asked to and exactly as he is capable of. He's an honest player who does a job - but if others don't play off him it won't work. Strange how everybody was happy with him hen the team was on fire and he was not short of supporting players, it's not Finn who isn't good enough it's a large number of his team mates who are lacking at the moment.'"
Yes he is definitely quick enough, with a good step off both feet and he's shown when he was fit and playing behind a pack that got us on the front foot that he's a good player. His stats at stand off rank pretty well against others. Also 'the Aussie' got plenty of blame in the first page. As some else pointed out Finn, Miller and Sio haven't missed a game all season, so it's no surprised they look knackered.
Like I've said before Finn's done his job this year for us and we wouldn't have made the 8 without him. Saying that. not having a crack at Finn, he is what he is, but would you be happy with him being our No.1 Scrum Half next year? Especially considering those teams below us will be recruiting like hell to make sure they're not in the bottom 4 next year.

| We ain't a top 8 side circumstances worked in our favour . Stop blaming individual players , the squads poor and without very good recruitment we will be in the middle 8s next year.Same old same old with people complaining about the reff, other fans, slow centres , fitness, slow half backs, lazy props, two many back rowers, who should go hooking , sky and eddy, training team, etc etc etc. However a new one for the mix will be C C because his honeymoon period is well over going in to the new season.

People seem to have very short memories on here! The squad is poor you say, a squad put together by Mr. Smith, the guy who you and others thought the sun shone out of his backside until he buggered off after 5 games because he realised he couldn't hack it anymore as a coach. Look at Huddersfield and Salford, the squads' they have on paper, given where we were a year ago it's been a great achievement to have turned things around. It has been disappointing since the semi yes, but overall progress has been made surely.

Yes progress has been made but you have to maintain that progress and Wakey have failed to do that. Lets face it Wakefield in the super eights have been a disgrace. I hope Chester doesn't have only a honeymoon period in him next year will be hard but at least we will have kear to help him if need be.

People are very critical about the team not performing and rightly so but then neither are the fans.
I personally lost interest in this season after the CCup semi final and I don't think I'm alone.
TBH I think everyone at the club will be happy to see the end of this season which seems to have gone on for an age.
Good news is I can't wait for next season and will be buying my first season ticket for years as I feel very optimistic. I think or hope the team feels the same as certain players head for their peak next season.
The back line looks fantastic with cool hand Jowitt at FB and some real pace in CB and BJB and an ever rising star in TJ.
The H/B's need some work reinforcements.
The pack with the return of England and Ashurst from injury along withe the signing of Hirst will see a bit bore size added, If we keep Fafita and get him really fit then thats three big front rowers to start with. Ditto if we can get Kirmond and Tupou fit then that helps and Sio make L/F his home then great. Arona and Simon add depth.
We need another hooker as to support Moore but with the likes of Anderson and a few others departing it's all possible.
I see 8th spot again but with perhaps a bit more presence in the play offs etc.
One investment we must make is on a better fitness regime - we started fit thanks to Brian Smith son but Clarkson yet again failed to maintain it as far as I can see. We can't afford the best players in the world but fitness is the one thing any team can achieve if they so desire at a relatively small cost - that needs to be our big weapon next season as it was for a while this season - if we can't play them off the park we can at least force them to play for 80 minutes.

I agree, I'm looking forward to next season there's a general good feeling about the place that we haven't had in years.

| Hope the rebranding of the club's name and reverting to the traditional badge heralds a new successful era in the club's proud history.

Agree with just about all that. Against Catalans, although it didn't matter in the grand scheme of things, it was just so unbelievably frustrating to watch and it would have been nice to finally get a win. Like you & others say, a new Fitness Coach is a must . You could even go as far as saying, getting the right one would rank as being one of the most important signing we make next season. Clawson's been here a fair while now and it's time for him to move on and let someone who knows what they're doing get the gig.

| If Clawson is still our Conditioner it won't matter who we sign, we will struggle. We need to push the boat out on getting a top replacement

| Yes we definately need to sort this out.
Maybe JK can help on this though too. With the wealth of exprerience in the game he will have a lot of contacts.
Also Hull KR have trained longer hours than what we did. Maybe Tim Sheens will have his contacts and may want to move Hull KRs backroom staff along

| The attendance on Friday probably gives you an indication of how many season ticket holders we have.
As has been pointed out, we can sign who we want but if the fitness isn't there, it won't make a blind bit of difference how good they are.
Caton-Brown looked class against Leigh, I hope we don't ruin him.
