| For me we put the best game performance by a team on the night against Wolves. Some very clever play from the lads and good finishing by Fletcher. He's a gangly lad who doesn't look like he's in top gear but can shift.

I agree.
Cumbria were good and its a pity we didn't play them at the end in stead of the beginning but we beat everybody else so deserved the plate.

| Dissapointing performance in the first game. Feel if we had beaten Cumbria we maybe would have won the main event.
Also a poor turn out from Wakey fans...we probably could have all come in a taxi.
But the main question was...where was Daddy Cool?

| I got their late. Think parking puts people off going to headingley especially on week night but was actually easy to park. Think it kicked off too early for people to get their in time as well which may have put people off.

| and the fact that it was live over t'interweb.
I watched in the comfort of my own armchair while eating ice cream and my kid could play outside with his mates.
I'm sure that woud reduce numbers. Hope Trin got something for the link.

arrived just as the first game had a few mins to go and made my way behind the sticks at only to be told that they was only using the seated area
didn't see that many grouped so just sat on our own until they did open up the end of the ground
poor turn out from all fans in general as I've seen it with three stands open in the past but last nights must give the RFL another worrying time

I really think the RFL are missing a trick with this. I went a couple of years ago there was a decent crowd, but it was lost in the vast expanse of Headingley. It was a good night's entertainment, but needed developing and filling out a bit.
Tuesday evenings are OK for the qualifying rounds, but the finals should be on a weekend afternoon or bank holiday. It needs to be cheap an cheerful. It should be billed as a family festival gala and have lots of events directed at the kids, maybe youth/schools teams competing too. Someone with some marketing nous could make this a winner.

I definitely think a smaller ground may be the way forward, and yes the final would be better played on a weekend if poss.

I was thinking about a nice compact little ground with plenty of cover.
BV perhaps?

| That'd be ok for the next couple of years, but they should be looking for somewhere more modern after that.

Indeed. Like a brand spanking new stadium perhaps?
