I know people on here are taking the mick with me but when you've not eaten since 1p.m. and have to go straight from work it would be nice to get something warm. I think there was a burger van outside the ground but as we arrived quite late we wanted to get straight in. Coffee was vey good by the way.'"

And thats unfair, after all Veggies are still normal people icon_wink.gif

I've never eaten a burger at BV but i would not have thought they contained any meat at all, just slop.

Can't speak for others, but my mick taking isn't about the vegetarianism. My point is that you've clearly been to grounds before and should anticipate the lack of choice, particularly as you have a restricted diet of your own choosing. I'd rather not eat what's served in stadia, so on Friday, having not eaten since 12.30pm myself and having gone straight from work, I did my best to get there in time for a curry beforehand. Had I not been able to, I'd have taken food myself, gone without, or as a last resort put up with what was inside the ground, without moaning that the for-profit catering in the ground was only aimed at what the mass market eat.

Next visit you could try this. Just inform them when you book that you are vegetarian. Parking at the ground is included and the dress code is informal so wearing jeans, trainers and a Wakefield shirt is fine. icon_biggrin.gif

This was quite a good argument until someone introduced the veggie complaint; now it's just daft.

I'm not at all but you used the veggie thing to criticise the matchday experience. You also mentioned about the stewards offering to get you in for £20 as another negative. I remember a few years ago buying 3 complimentary tickets from one of the Wakey academy players at £10 each not sure what that did for the matchday experience but it made our day out a bit cheaper.

The matchday experience is not high on my list of priorities it's the game and the socialising before, during and after that I enjoy but the reasons you slated Crusaders for were at best flimsy in my opinion as the matchday experience seemed very similar to any other.

Developments at Wrexham as club is taken over by new owners who may be front men for Stephen Vaughan who laundered money while at Widnes.rlLinkrl

To find out how this may or may not impact on Crusaders and/or The Racecourse spend for ever on

Interesting!!
"This transaction provides the club with financial stability for the future whilst also retaining its control of both Colliers Park and the Racecourse Ground."
I thought the RFL owned it or £700k of it!

The RFL don't own the ground but have a 700k charge on it. This means that if Crusaders do not pay back the money then the RFL will receive 700k when the ground is sold. I think.
