Some people think I am a schizophrenic, but they don't really know us.: |

I doubt he'll even have looked at it, tbh. That's the job for monsieur's advisers. His chubby fingers will have held the pen that marked "X" in the spot, and that will have been it.

| I'm no politician but if you take the goggles off re the stadium and consider points and posts made by Allmart and IA then the reason I wouls assume this has been called in is because of the following.
the development is majority green belt and the rest brown built. The district has to free up x amount of space and this area fits the bill, The Govt want local decisions however I think in this case if it came back for a local decision and bearing in mind it had a mindful to approve tag to it then would this potentially have set a precedent around green belt land adjoining motorways etc.
I maybe well off the mark here but by making the decision centrally then there is some policing of big developments.
Everything about the development is positive about the calling in, it was always a risk and its happened, the club need to fucus on the criteria for a franchise to be retained and also what needs to be done to obtain one in the future.
We seem to have been written off but I am not sure this is the case as yet there is lots of time before April for things to happen and this is a step back but not all is lost
I do agree though that the club should have prepared better for this news to come out on the front foot its a basic what if contingency to me and the Directors should be prepared. As for the trust the job of the trust is deliver the facilities to the District and needs to lead on the development both are separate entities but the water appears muddy at the moment.

The place this first appeared was in a BBC report following the call in and I just think that, as most journalists can be quite lazy when reporting a story that appeared somewhere else, they just assume it was correct and it is now being re-written as it is now an archive report. As far as I am aware it is indeed a load of rubbish. Mainly, why would Leeds City Council own land in the Wakefield District and any common land that previously did belong to Leeds was exchanged when the border moved to the centre of the M62 along this stretch.

Look at the positive side of things
You have a solid BOD who have backed you for years
You have a developer who is sticking by you despite your plans going to PI
You have a plan B with either Oakwell or Elland Road
You have a large loyal following that dwarfs many other SL clubs
You have built a team that looks capable of a top 8 finish, maybe higher
You are Wakefield, Together you are stronger
How many do you hope to catch?

| I'm assuming the Kemp in question is not ex Spandau Ballet.
That was an awfully large net he used there but the holes were EC regulation so unlikely to catch anything in these waters.

| I can only asume cocoa. As the kemp(s) in question were twins, that is why you felt the need to post twice?
