I thought we would score but not get that close. It sounded like Smith played well maybe Gaskell’s injury albeit unlucky for him could turn out to be better for the club.

It is not the players fault because they can only play within their own abilities and those around them. We have just put together a weak and limited squad not helped by injuries, all we can hope is that they give it their best every week. If at the end we are relegated it will be down to the quality of the squad we were willing to finance rather than the individuals players.
