He's a Cas player so what do you expect him to say, doesn't stop him not wanting Wakey to win at any other time though does it.
As for his family I bet they were cheering him on last season at Salford as well.

Ive seen plenty over the years scored like that at cas,as have Hull fans watching their team,as have Wigan etc.
Acrobatic tries was not invented or perfected by your wonder boy alone.
I suppose if he stays injury free the next few years then all the NRL teams will be queuing up for his signature.
Lets wait and see eh!'"
Yep lets wait and see, I bet you'll be the first one back on here congratulating him

Let’s not, which NRL side is going to take a player with a bilateral ACL reconstruction. I’m just over the moon the lad has over come these shocking injuries and still able to score tries like he did last night. The point I was getting at which you clearly missed due to your negative infatuation with Johnstone is players you think that are 10 a penny might just surprise you when they’re put in a more elite environments, it’s clearly been proven. Even Eden managed a hand full of games for the Broncos didn’t he. Wouldn’t he be 30 a penny in the NRL.

| I think Makinson was the 1st Super League winger to perfect the one handed dive as a regular finish but he doesn't have the pace of TJ. Grace is another who can become airborne as standard but he doesn't have the strength of TJ. I have no problem with the excellent Makinson being 1st choice international although I reckon fully fit Manfredi is right up there too. What pees me off is past it guys like McGilvary and Hall hogging the slots.

| just watched TJ try from last night. outstanding finish, but should have been a walk in. Millers pass selection in the build up to pass to Ashurst was a shocker!

Eden was regarded as one of the worst English imports ever in the NRL.

He could well have been, but the fact is he played in the NRL which is what's been said, but you can't seem to grasp

My point about Eden was to point out that like Johnston, he also would be crap, something you lot cant seem to grasp.

You don't have a point, just an eagerness to pick an argument, once again irrespective whether Eden was crap or not he still played in the NRL, unless you can prove differently, end of.

"TJ is a classy player and one of only 3 or 4 in the league I genuinely think would make it in the NRL"
My comments are directed at the above quote..he might play (big might) but to make it big in the NRL ,not a chance.
Just another Jo Average in the Aussie league.
I can see the desperation of something good coming out of Wakefield from their fans but please...be realistic,as ive said hes a good player in an average SL competition.

| I wondered when it would get round to "let's knock TJ" time. The lad's a winger, and a b****y great one at that. How many great wingers can you remember that were also great defenders. In a time when apart from Nos 2,5, 6 & 7 in a team most positions are almost interchangeable TJ's is still a specialist position. Ok, his defence isn't the best but the lad will win us games. The weak defence on the flanks his generally down to the need for better coaching. As 1315Trinity alluded to earlier Offiah seems to have earned almost the status of a god, but his defence was non-existant.

That may well be the case, Towns. That's how he should view the game, being a Cas player, but it doesn't stop him being a Wakefield Trinity fan also.

| Quote: Kettykat "Tom is an outstanding winger going forwards, will score tries out of seemingly impossible situations like tonight , but for far too long now he has not been anywhere as good in his defensive reads. Not all Toms fault may I add as our sliding defence at time is non existent which leaves him in no mans land and caught out . tupou was also in the same position tonight with some poor reads ,so to me it’s not individually a problem as much as a team not working together in defence'"
I really can't decide though whether whoever the wingers are, are they being 'coached' to defend that way? What I mean is, by them seemingly committing early, they are trying to force the opposition playmaker into not throwing the final pass, therefore going back down the middle, because it could be picked off and intercepted? Which by the way isn't working obviously because they just look silly and are caught in no mans land! BJB was pretty good at snaffling interceptions, but time and again him, TJ, Tupou, and even Kershaw in his limited games just seem to be caught out too often, but is it the centres that are making them do this by their decision making?! If you go right back to the first game of last season at London, the number of times they created easy overlaps was embarrassing, and it probably happens every 3rd or 4th game, is it the coaches or the players??

| We didn't seem to do it against Warrington and, lo and behold, they only scored one try (and that was down the middle), yet we reverted to type against Cas and look what happened !!!

Correct, and as someone pointed out some time ago, the problem with wingers being drawn in, isn't on the wing, it's in the middle because second rowers and centres are having to help out there!
