Just reading it back It seems to me because you just said 'Don't criticise a young lad. e.t.c' you were somehow backing up NGBC silly first post, maybe I'm wrong.
You agreed with a post that I think sums him up best atm and I've said similar in the past. That he's great defensively, loads of work and heart but needs to work on his offensive game, which is no surprise given his age but he's hardly the reason to get picked out tonight like the OP has done.

If that is the case then counter that opinion. That is what a forum is for. Unless you just want an opinion that is up your street? I'm the only person on this forum with my name as my actual name. I don't have poop to hide.'"
Well said Adam.

| I'm glad so many have posted on this thread to say how ridiculous the opening post is.
Crowther is not above criticism just because he is young and local but was in no way the reason we lost the game nor did he make the most mistakes.
He did make mistakes in the game but not many and he made a significant positive contribution.
To single him out is just someone with a little gripe against him personally no matter what he does or just trying to wind people up.
Not really worth the reply but most of the comments are constructive and positive which is good from a supporter point of view.
The last thing we need is to round on the players and coach. We can all discuss what we want on here but next game we need to be supporting them even more.

I agree it's the opening post 'again' that is woeful. I hope future scholarship parents don't read this forum.
Like all players there's improvements to be made. Jordys pre line hands are great linking in but there's other aspects of O he is working on. No arguments there. He's played about 35 SL games, he's 22. I've no issue with the constructive points about O in his game.
Players get game scores and he is always in the top bunch.

What i’m saying is at point in his career the weaker part of his game is his offence and it’s that that need the most development. It’s not a criticism, it’s an observation and a pretty fair one i feel. Whether he gets that here is the bigger question. I would love to think so but i have my doubts.'"
What I don't get is the improvement in attack that you expect to see? What else do you want to see from a hard running forward? Props with ball handling skills like James Graham are hard to come by. If Jordan's playing loose I'd argue that in the modern game, the role has developed to practically be an extra prop. So, where and what extra do you want from him?

| His ball handling skills will only develop with more and more game time and experience, which in turn can only breed confidence.
What he doesn't need is people ripping him to shreds after hes put in yet another honest and decent shift.
Somebody posted earlier in the week, about our defence and how its dropped off. Maybe some of the other players need to take note and a leaf out of his book

I wasn't necessarily agreeing with the Original Poster but I know there are some players that you literally cannot even have an opinion on without upsetting folk so it was more of a response to the reaction I knew that would be forthcoming. I know there are people with an emotional investment towards some players on this forum but you've got to accept a forum is to air all views - not just positive ones. Players get praise and they get criticism - that is life and that is sport. You cannot expect people to sacrifice their own honesty for positivity. Or to self-censor for fear of upsetting folk. Sacred Cow literally made a fair, reasonable post and was jumped on a little hastily imo.

I really wish you could see the game scores for every player to see where Jordan came out of 17! I'll let you guess......

Take it from me Harrison, believe it or not Jordan is the first to admit a bad game or a mistake with his dad a close second, but and this what’s frustrating, is when it is unjustified criticism. Regarding emotional interest, if you ever have kids that make it to a decent level in whatever sport come back and tell me what you think about it all

He worked his nuts off tonight, forced two errors with hits and tackled his heart out. His effort, energy and enthusiasm is second to none. He gets off his line quicker than anyone. He gets his hands on the ball and links in with plays. He's not the finished article, but his progress is very good and he'll get better and better.
But keep sticking the knife in
Great post Mick.
God there are some real richard heads on here.

I’d like to back you up there but whenever I have a go at this poster some people get all protective of him. All the same in my head I’m cheering you on. I think I’m still allowed my own thoughts in my own head

| Really cant understand why jordan is copping stick he certainly wasnt no where near worst player on that pitch last night.do people not realise most forwards aint fully developed until there about 25 years old.i actually feel for the lad he seems to play when we have injuries but as soon as players come back he first to miss out without doing owt wrong.not sure if BLM agrees but jordan needs a consistent run of games not play a couple miss some play some type of thing.
And no thats not a dig at coaching staff

Jordan had a poor game. So did most. It’s a team game and it was the team that was poor rather than individuals.
The OP is a schoolyard bully always has been always picks on the young but I’m probably not allowed to say that.

Seriously? Do you really believe he can’t develop his game? I don’t know the lad but i’m pretty sure he will want to keep improving his game and add more strings to his bow as he goes along. He isn’t the biggest forward going around so if he is going to be the third prop you say then he will need other things in his armoury. He can develop his offload game. His footwork approaching contact and leg drive enabling meters after contact can be worked on. He can develop the lines he runs to cause the confusion in defence. I will guarantee you any coach worth their salt would tell you the same, it’s not criticising him it’s pointing out areas for improvement. Most work places have employee appraisals where the exact same thing happens.
Nobody is saying he should be Jason Taumalolo! The lad is only 22 and has time on his side and it won’t happen overnight. But i don’t want to see him be the next Chris Annakin, bags of effort, loyal as a dog but stagnating and never getting a decent chance to grow into his potential by not getting the one-to-one coaching and quality conditioning he needs and forever being a back-up option playing 10 games a year.

Disagree 100% regarding poor game, but we’ll agree to disagree, each to their own opinions.
