Quote snowie="snowie"or C win the cup of have a good run and still stay in the top 8 because I believe we have a squad this year that could do it,
Think I should I'll just have a word with the blue tits in my bird box to stay there until they become and adult before they try to expand their wings
just like to add whats your feelings now we are out of the cup, what if we now get in a dog fight and we go down'"
If it was a straight choice between progress in the cup and SL survival then, the all Trinity fans would opt for SL survival.
However, I'm with you Snowie, a cup run can lift everyone, from players, fans, management, not to mention the potential cash influx for the club and the rare chance to attract some more fans.
I know it's all if's and but's now. However, had we beaten Huddersfield in the cuo, there would have been every chance of winning the league fixture as well and far from "risking anything", perhaps we could have prevented Huddersfield from growing in confidence and kept them firmly in the bottom 4.
Instead of this, we threw "everything" at the magic game and still lost.
We shall never know if beating Huddersfield in the cup would have harmed our league position but, it doesn't look to have helped ??
I guess we have to trust the club management and in particular, Chester, to get things right, which, I suppose, is what he gets paid for.
