| We currently have no ground confirmed for next season. If we continue with our current negotiation techniques then we are heading to Dewsbury.
I hear some of you saying good that will show those Labour councillors we don’t need them or the 88M group.
The problem is that we can only stay at Dewsbury for one season and then only if we have a plan in place to move to a SL standard ground.
That’s the tricky bit because we don’t and never will have not in Wakefield anyway. The majority support the club because it is in Wakefield and we were born or live in the area.
I look forward to how this puts us in a strong position and if we continue how is it going to be resolved without the help of the council and 88M.
I have a question, the original agreement with Newmarket was that we paid a peppercorn rent but retained all the income generated. The redevelopment of Belle Vue is surely a new agreement therefore would the above not be subject to renegotiation

Read the schedule of delapidation topic. That option just got a whole lot messier by the sounds.

I worry then. Our presence there is blocking money, not making money.

And i think you’ll find most Trinity fans want their team to be playing in a nice stadium in Wakefield as not doing for any length of time equals a slow death. And as for the tickets comment Michael Carter has already said anybody wanting a refund on season tickets bought should we move can have it so i don’t know what you are getting at there? There might not be many that ask but i bet there are some.'"
Misguided?
So are you telling me that Hussain bought Bellevue for the good of his health ?
I don't care where I watch trin Play, there will be plenty of trin fans who feel the same as me too
Misguided...... grow up

The ground is a pot of gold for Hussain, just waiting for him almost within touching distance, we just need to stay calm a bit longer and as fans put our trust in Michael.
He has never once let any of us down since he took over and I think each time he has made a move regarding the ground it's got us a bit further on
Yes there are alternate routes for making money from Belle vues owner but it's within everyone's interests to get it redeveloped with us playing there for the next 100 years not the lengthy process of turning it in to a housing estate

100 percent spot on, hussain has invested going on over a million and closer to 2,000,000 between the two sites (fact) so why would he do it if he wasn't going to make money.? Reality is like musson i now live outside the area and in truth barnsley, newmarket , dews bury, belle vue are one and same to me from a geographic perspective
Just cant see how the club are going to unravel this and move forward - are they really going to go to court with 88 - dilapidations, the council - alleged breach of contract, york court ditto its so **** ing dispiriting after probably the best season since we won the yorkshire cup.

Seriously? I think you'll find trin fans care a lot about where we play, they want it to be in the city of Wakefield, this is why all this is going on. Thats not to say they won't watch them elsewhere but to say they don't care is just wrong. I guess there's a good chance we'll all find out soon enough anyway, the first season out of the city will be ok but then as time passes the fans will slowly drift away as the affinity between club and city becomes less and less. It has happened with other clubs, it will happen with this one as well.
And no Manni didn't buy BV for the good of his health, he bought it to make money. He doesn't need us for this to happen, in fact he couldn't give two hoots about us. Now he could make MORE money by this scheme going through which is why he is playing the game but he could make plenty enough by moving on without us and sticking housing & student accomadation on it. Don't think for a minute he is bothered about the time taken, 88M are big into land banking and will wait as long as needed. But if it looks like it isn't going to go his way he'll push the stadium scheme into touch and go in a different direction that doesn't involve us without a second glance. Thats why he is a wealthy businessman and we are sat here talking about him on a forum.

| What no one has mentioned for a while, and I stand to be corrected on this if I am wrong, is the covenant (?) on BV that states that until we are provided with an alternative home then it must remain a rugby stadium for Wakefield Trinity ??

Yes that used to get mentioned quite regularly at one point and I thought that's why the BOI didn't basically kick us out when they owned the ground for all those years. Have we in fact got a covenant because it doesnt sound like it atm?

Not directly but i know someone who does know him, and i know he usually gets what he wants. Normally i’m fairly positve as regards Wakey outcomes and we always tend to somehow survive. This time though the feeling deep down isn’t good. Fingers crossed i’m wrong.

There isn’t a covenant on BV, it was a planning condition placed on the permission for housing that expired long ago. It could be requested to be added to any future application but it is at the behest of the planning commitee. Sport England aren’t as stringent as they used to be over pursuing these matters anymore either due to changes in government policy.
