Don't know about that, with all these emerging nations and grandparent nationality stuff it seems like nearly every SL player is an international |

The panel were asked to explain the difference between Federation players,Non Federation,Quota players etc, and a question was asked from the audience, "Why is Sam Obst still classed as a Quota player when he has been over here so long and yet J.D isn't a quota player?
This question seemed to be overlooked at the meeting, so can anyone explain on here?

Obst has not got a European passport, Demetriou has. |

Its gets depresing listening to some of the supporters there at times and you call tell by the way Beans answers that he gets pee'd off with it too. Yes he wants to keep all the best players but in reality we are a small club (compared to others) who do brilliantly to perform like we do on such tight margins. No idea who the woman was near us but I was ready to hold her back when Ted walked past as she went mental.
Terry was excellent, Korki looks really happy and Morrison can talk for England and he seems really enthused about coaching at the club.
Pie and peas were lovely and even the beer tasted good......but beer usually does. ![]()
For someone who lives on the wrong side of the pennines and so couldn't attend, can you summarise waht was said about the tax issue

'It's a non-story' is what he said. We have a smaller tax bill this year than last and it is disappointing that it made the news.
Also confirmed that it had no effect on player recruitment and that in his opinion (Ted) we would be stronger this year than last!  |

Thanks'"
Ted was miffed that it had got into the press because as far as he was concerned a deal had already being made with the taxman and payments were being met. He said that cause of it was a cash flow problem as crowds were down last year; he didn’t seem overly concerned by it. |
