Ever get the feeling of deja vu ?
More than 12 months down the line and it's like we're starting over. IIRC Leeds refusal to travel to Catalan was one of the first postponements of last season (I know that there have already been some postponements this season)

I was trying to show that weve gone 15 months since the Leeds v Catalan game was postponed last season, to where we are this week.
All the pain, suffering and futility of the lockdowns and we're back to where we were.
Yes, there is a vaccine but, the world is a long way from being on top of the situation.

We will never be "on top" of it....
It's a mutating virus - just like the Flu.

I realise that it wont go away but, there is a difference between having 1000's of new cases every day and "a couple of hundred"

There should be no relegation this season. Because of covid Leeds have avoided St and Catalans .A team could get in top 5 by not playing the top teams ,and a team could get religated by not playing the lesser clubs

Yes but that’s the difference now.
A huge upturn in cases but nothing like in terms of death or even hospitalisation.
We are being held back now by pure hypertheticals rather than Boris beloved science.
Truth is we are being held to ransom by people who refused the jab. In many cases a community that was known to be vulnerable. As ever it’s political, Boris knows he will be accused of racism if he states the truth and as ever he lacks the back bone to do so.
The Asian communities in particular were well within their rights to refuse the jab. As indeed were the whites and others who did the same. However it was a risk and it hasn’t paid off, the rest of us shouldn’t have to pay the price.
If that makes me racist in some eyes so be it, but I have two Asian work colleagues and that’s exactly how they feel.

Not 100% certain but I suspect the % would account for postponements at the end of the season.
The plan is to rearrange games that are currently postponed clearly if cancellations carry on then this could be untenable for teams to complete fixtures. If this was the case the % rate is the agreed formula.
Pretty sure unless it was cut and dry then there would be a review of the situation but the Championship teams are playing for promotion to SL so its not all about relegation. In fact it could lead to expansion.

| Will be difficult for Leeds to replay them but may be forced by Sky as both cancelled games are TV games which could hit them hard financially. For me they need to be playing midweek a couple of times and if they have to throw some young lads in then so be it. We did the same last season and fulfilled our obligations why should they be any different.

| Is there a threshold this year on the number of games you need to play in order to be in a playoff spot? I believe last year it was 20 games and they then dropped that with a few weeks left when they realised no one would meet it.

18 out of 25
7 or more players out of your top 25 squad and you can postpone or cancel if can’t be rearranged

Perhaps there should come a point, when everyone had had the opportunity to be vaccinated, that things can open up further and we can get on with living our lives, close to where they were, that, people are told "you had you chance - unlucky".
THE biggest issue for me is that, with the UK being an island, we have utterly failed to control people coming here or returning home from overseas who have the virus and different strains of it.
All we hear is that "The UK is an international hub", which in the middle of a pandemic, it utter, utter nonsense.
Even now, "we" are desperate for everyone to take a foreign holiday - WHY
As for refusal to have the vaccine, there is so much misinformation that some are genuinely concerned and I accept that the "pro vaccine" lobby also withholds some of the negative stuff but, in a crisis, the latter can largely be forgiven.
