IT certainly was, against the Aussies midweek/second string, have a look at that Aussie line up. Everyone a household name.

No. I didn't have a copy of the Aussie game until much more recent. The VHS of the Salford game was one taped live. I'll check this weekend though.

Could be wrong but I thought the JT quote came from the scrum down televised game against Cas where 'Rambo' Ronnie Gibbs got concussed?

Could be that one. I have both on VHS.
One of Phil Eden's few big hits.

The JT quote was definitely after the Trinity V Australia match.

Remember that day well! Didn't see the game live as it was the day that our eldest was born and we were in the maternity suite on the Sunday afternoon and I was trying to get the latest score on an old tranny radio whilst 'she who must be obeyed' was giving birth. Quit that noise woman, I'm trying to find out who went over for that try I wouldn't mind, she'd been in labour since Friday and she wouldn't hurry it up a bit so that I could see the match live - we were both season ticket holders so more money down the drain not getting to the match. Happy days.

They did a montage at the end and played "wishing on a star", plus at half time the on field guy asked Gibbs if he'd be coming back on for the second half, he replied along the lines of "dunno mate, up to the boss". I loved Scrumdown.

| Quote: bellycouldtackle "Attitude, fight, aggression are more important qualities for me than just sheer size. We have all watched great `smaller ` players at Trinity, Nigel Bell for example, the type of player who is always refereed to as playing a couple of stone above his weight. I did not see them play but legend and word of mouth advise that Don Vines and Rocky Turner were not big men, but they were men with massive hearts and plenty of aggression. Conversely we have all seen big men who just seem to lack that punch, that aggression, they never look like breaking a tackle, they just go through the motions. They are frustrating players to watch as we expect so much more from them. Its a joy when you get a big man with a bags of aggression, what a great site it was last season to see England and Fifita charging the ball up, like they wanted to do damage to anyone in their way, fantastic to watch. Darren Fritz was a fine example of this and in many ways Korki always looked the part as well.'" a
Players playing above their weight? I wouldn't have wanted Billy Conway treating me to a short arm jab, no matter how tall he wasn't...

Was that the game played in the fog?

| The JT quote was deffo with him sat on the bench after being subbed in the 'Rambo' game. Brilliant - and now I might have to go and watch it again for the umpteenth time!

Sat through the full game last night. Johny T was sent off after about 20 minutes and never sits on the bench. Only after match interview is with Andy Mason. Think others have also confirmed the qoute as coming during a Cas game. I'll watch that one tonight.

| You know I was sure it was after the Aussie game and Harry Gration interviewed him. Shows how the memory fades.
