| Oh the innocence of youth, Jakey. I presume you believe that if Leeds happened to be in fear of taking part in the MPG they'd be allowed to go down. This is the Rugby Football League that we're talking about.

| Quote bren2k="bren2k"I agree - capitulations in two very winnable games that could have a significant bearing on how the season turns out; we were probably saved by the results of the other games in that round.'"
I don't think we did capitulate at Salford, we were undone by circumstances - I admit we didn't help ourselves but for me that was a poop happens game, all teams get those.
HKR wa diabolical it must be said - for me the worst game of the season so far and very reminiscent of last season - whether that is going to be regular and thus terminal is yet to be seen but I'm hoping it isn't.
So far for me just one truly bad performance under Chester - I do fear similar this weekend but hopefully we will start to pick up again after that

| Some people are saying we only need to win 1 or 2 more games to feel safe, for me I'd be more comfortable with 3. Of the fixtures remaining I think the most winnable are Huddersfield, Leeds and Saints.
I'm really starting to feel the pressure again and I hope the team are too. Sunday is a massive game for us. I'm not overly confident as I think Huddersfield are still a tough team to beat and have been losing narrowly this season.
Maybe it is a pride thing for me but I want us to finish before the split with at least an 8 point advantage over Salford, then at least no one can say we qualified for the 8s just because Salford had points deducted.

| To a point Wildshot, I agree with you.
However, at the end of the day, the good doctor has come in with his blank cheque book, and because he is bigger that everyone else, thinks he can get away with it. With this in mind, although the points deduction I believe relates to 2015, who's to say he hasn't exceeded the cap again in 2016, and if it weren't for some of the bigger name players, they may not of won the amount of games they have so far in 2016. Without being disrespectful, prior to him coming, Salford were pretty much bottom 4 every year.
At the end of the day, we are where we are on merit, and we still aren't spending the full cap. Also, worth reminding people, wasn't our salary cap operated at something like 1.2 million in 2014, and not much higher in 2015. We are still in Super League, and now stand a good chance of finishing in the top 8.
All things considered, points deduction or not, who deserves the play off spot?
