East leeds look certain to take the 13s title after a convincing 44-10 win over crigg 13s

Just before half time easts lead 10-6 with crigg bombing many chances but a killing double strike that crigg have dealt out so many times seconds before half time and straight after the kick off put leeds 22-6 in the lead and that was a lead the new top lads were not giving up.

My other interest carry on doing well convincingly beating moldgreen.
Some lads are turning 12 but due to stupidity they still play under 11s .
Summer rugby sucks .

Big thanks to the east leeds tl manager who got us the DVD icon_smile.gif

Congrats to east Leeds on becoming champions, I thought the break might have refreshed crigglestone. Certainly been a shift in power this season but has ever its been a very solid group.

Yep a move in power indeed and the table don't lie. Unless lock lane pull off the shock of the season but when you are relying on other scores then you have lost the right anyways.

I have enjoyed this season lots and don't forget to say there's been a shift in power crigg still walk away with the wakey cup , the BARLA YORKSHIRE CUP and the prestigious War of the Roses shield and will end up runners up in the death league lol.

Not a bad year and congrats must again go out to the coach and volunteers etc.

Let's hope next year all winners are more wakey district again and we also have a national cup.

Will the 2 leeds teams be relegated ?

Not sure what will happen regards the league, Celtic,Stanley, hunslet and newsome are all capable of stepping up but a bigger league would be far too much like common sense.

I also believe shaw cross have a few problems so I'm not sure they will be equipped to remain in group 1.

Really ? ... That'd be a shame . They've always played cracking rugby since they were tiny , but always struggled for numbers - I thought this looked to have changed this year , they looked really good against us (Crigg) earlier this season & looked to have a good squad . Hopefully they can sort stuff out , but if not , then obviously someone else will gladly take their place .

While I'm on this thread ( which isn't often nowerdays ) , can I say congratulations to East Leeds on their inevitable league win . Definitely the best team this year & they'll take some stopping in the BARLA & national cup too .

Thing is at the start of the season the league would of set out a plan. I don't know that plan BTW and I know its heart wrenching to see sides in a lower league especially if you have a bond with them etc but if you completely rip all the strong clubs out of division 2 you end up weakening the lower leagues with the knock on ripple effect.

Surely as well the two relegated sides have a strong case to remain up even if I personally don't agree I'm just taking the devils view of it.

A bigger league would also fail as we are struggling to fit in 14 games because in their wisdom the YJL close the summer league in August for ....Summer!

We should wait and see as Milford have finished bottom anything could happen , which is not a dig at the poor players but the jump up when last year teams like Celtic and Stanley were around Milford got promoted from division 3or4 which was crackers and a slap for other clubs.

On a different note I'm sure Shaw cross will hopefully get things sorted, its crap when this s**t happens.
Shaw Cross are without a doubt the most profession run club I can think of regards juniors IMHO (yes I know you will disagree I don't want shuning icon_smile.gif ) and they will take action quickly. They will also recruit again.

All the best to Shaw Cross

And here's to the 14s icon_smile.gif

Its usually just the one game, u12s final was played last night.

Just hope they have some decent floodlights or we might be finishing the game in the dark.

A bitterly disappointing performance saw the panthers 13s lose out 10-20 in the cas cup final.

2 tries in the dying minutes from lane won them the game which they fully deserved to win has they out played us on the night.a tough night for all concerned but you find out far more about players on nights like this.

Great to see crigg U13's back to winning ways with some great "team" rugby, even if the ref had different ideas at what should happen icon_rolleyes.gif
Hope the Shaw Cross lad who was taken away in an ambulance is OK he looked to be in a lot of pain. icon_eek.gif
