Inside Man - they talked briefly about this in answer to someone's question.
Matt talked to the Warrington owner at Magic as he and the Wigan guy are the ones leading NRL conversations. Nothing agreed but he talked about us being able to make it work without just following NRL blindly as our environment with football and other sports is very different. But liked them being involved. He made the point nothing was agreed but also the RFL are meeting to discuss, at our ground. I think he said all the owner meetings are at our place now.
I have to say he did talk about getting fans views of how to run the game but personally I think that is a bad idea.
Khlav - they thought it was a good idea too but say the evidence of other attempts in the area show it as a loss maker so changing plans. They are looking at coffee and breakfast type place instead. But they'd still look at show games for people to come and watch there.
Also forgot a few other things. Programme. Bit of a split view on this but Matt says he might do an offer to pay up front for a full season so they know what to create but I'm not sure that is a go-er.
Shirt sponsor we've more than tripled the earnings with Matt's idea to sell game by game rather than one for whole season. He was pleased with that.
New website on the way. Nearly ready but he knocked it back for some improvements before launch. He was very keen to say we'll go from worst to best website in the league.
Added a couple of bars in the ground to ease queues. Liked the idea of the bar outside St James Park made out of portacabins. Might do if he can fit in fan zone but will do something either way so you don't have to walk a long way away to get back to North and East Stand.
The main room has been upgraded. They are keeping it smart but not loading with heritage from the club so it looks the part for functions rather than just rugby events. He will talk to heritage team about how they decorate Rollin Shack and other areas.
And the pie was nice but they ran out of peas.
Anything else I forgot from those that were there?
There was plenty of peas on the left side as you walked in

| Not quite - Ellis mentioned the kitchen showroom area when the question about Newcastle's Stack was asked.
He said they were considering a bar area there.

| Dboy - he did you are right. How I took it though was the original plan to put a bar on the stadium side of the old showroom. I don't think he said what was happening to the actual showroom.
We'll find out soon enough I'm sure.

| Yes it will be something completely new. He said he liked the stack-container style, as it doesn't need planning permission.

| Certainly exciting times ahead.
Would be sad to see Walmsley or Atoni go, but teams always evolve, and it would boost our spine if Smoothy does come over early

Did Ellis say that one of these was making way for Smoothy this season? If he did I can only think it would be Atoni as he’s out for most of season now.

| The only person he talked about being out of contract was Lachy as he announced it himself.
We only need to lose one for Smoothy.
Mills did say though that the decisions are made based on what's best for Trinity rather than sentiment

| It’ll be interesting to see how the new NRL expansion club Perth Bears affect the transfer market for next year and the year after with obviously a full team to find. If Burgess or Arthur potentially get it, I think there will definitely be SL based players going over.

Think there is more than one overseas player going they did say they just failed to get the Oz forward over the line that was mentioned a few week ago .As you say Smoothy would strengthen the spine ,or is it in case they do not know if Trueman is/will be fit to play every week ,and they want a playmaker in the team who is good kicker and passer of the ball as cover Both on the field with Lino and we are looking very good Two on the field and we are still strong.

| It also depends on what English players are available. If we make some big English signings then it's better to keep the slightly cheaper overseas players.
That's why Mill's job isn't easy.
I really like how they talk about Smoothy. They say they are talking to him often and he's keen to see footage of us playing.

Yes as Legend says, it was a good night but mostly just general opinion on what's going on. Nothing raised that we didn't really know apart from developing the Rollin Shack. Planning is in for West but he wants to prioritise work that will increase attendance. North he says will be very expensive. Like £3million to extend the back because of the way it was built by the last contractors. (We already knew they have to raise the roof to do it) ...
On the subject of attendances/capacity, was anything mentioned about the recent changes to the ground? We had an official attendance of 8016 Last year for the final v Toulouse (which btw was probably an accurate number of those actually in the ground, as you had to pay extra, and it wasn't included in season tickets) But since then, we've added a few 100 places with temporary standing at the South end. Not to mention the complete re-working of the North Terrace and corner bits, which you would think must've raised the capacity a fair bit. This year the 2 Hull games have been sold out with quoted attendances of 8065 and 8027. So pretty much same as the end of last season. Are we just waiting for a new safety certificate to be issued? Or am I missing something?
