It’s probably to be expected to have some reaction but hopefully it is something that will ease off in this next 2 weeks as you say. 

Personally I think having Trueman for Wire is important and he could be the difference with Wire struggling with pivots but we could probably afford to rest him vs Salford if we are to manage him a little. Let’s hope it’s just a bit of soreness. 


If we win the next 2 we could almost find ourselves sitting around top 4 coming up to the half way point. 

True. Just worries me with him having issues before with his back. As fans we just want to see Trueman playing as I firmly believe if he’d of been playing all year we’d of comfortably being in the top 6 and potentially in a semi final of the CC, that’s how influential the lad is on the pitch. Personally for him too he’s had rotten luck with injuries, I really feel for him.

Mr Powell praise Lino big time ,still looks like Warmsly is on is way out ,,there very close to signing ,Caius on a longer  contract and he wants to stay at Wakefield .Got told what ever the club do with signings weather or not ,it is not popular at the time ,it is all part of the plan to turn Wakefield in to a top four club . Matt did say they are getting more money for  shirt sponsorships There as been a few players from Oz that they have been close to signing ,but they will not buy if they think there over priced , All in all think fans are in for a great ride in the coming years, Hope I can keep breathing so I can see a lot of it

Yes as Legend says, it was a good night but mostly just general opinion on what's going on.
Nothing raised that we didn't really know apart from developing the Rollin Shack.
Planning is in for West but he wants to prioritise work that will increase attendance.
North he says will be very expensive. Like £3million to extend the back because of the way it was built by the last contractors. (We already knew they have to raise the roof to do it)


Talked about current squad and Powell said he was very happy.
He did comment on Walmesly saying he was really good at Magic. Said nothing is finalised and he was surprised Lachy put something in press but didn't blame him for trying to sell himself after that game.
Said the changes were tactical but putting Scott on the wing didn't work how he wanted it to.


He said our biggest issue is believing in ourselves and believing we can beat the top teams. 


Working on 2026 but no signings confirmed yet.
Caius negotiations ongoing and they think they are neatly there. They and he are very keen.


Like Lino a lot and really likes him and Trueman together.
Said he wasn't sure it would work out that way and explained that to him at beginning of year and Lino has taken it on and improved his game and matured in general.

What was said about the Rollin Shack? 

They were originally talking about it being a sports bar restaurant but decided so many were struggling and closing they ditched that.


They are going to look at the shop and coffee bar going in there with the balcony overlooking field.


Don't think it's finalised and no one discussed the building in the car park where that was originally planned.

Did anything get mentioned about the direction of the game with what's happening at the rfl and the rumours regarding NRL buying in to sl?

Shame I was looking forward to eating in the sports bar/grill. Thought it was a great idea. Think they've spent some cash kitting it out.

Matt talked to the Warrington owner at Magic as he and the Wigan guy are the ones leading NRL conversations.
Nothing agreed but he talked about us being able to make it work without just following NRL blindly as our environment with football and other sports is very different. But liked them being involved.
He made the point nothing was agreed but also the RFL are meeting to discuss, at our ground. I think he said all the owner meetings are at our place now.


I have to say he did talk about getting fans views of how to run the game but personally I think that is a bad idea.






Khlav - they thought it was a good idea too but say the evidence of other attempts in the area show it as a loss maker so changing plans.
They are looking at coffee and breakfast type place instead.
But they'd still look at show games for people to come and watch there.




Also forgot a few other things.
Programme. Bit of a split view on this but Matt says he might do an offer to pay up front for a full season so they know what to create but I'm not sure that is a go-er. 


Shirt sponsor we've more than tripled the earnings with Matt's idea to sell game by game rather than one for whole season. He was pleased with that.


New website on the way. Nearly ready but he knocked it back for some improvements before launch.
He was very keen to say we'll go from worst to best website in the league.


Added a couple of bars in the ground to ease queues.
Liked the idea of the bar outside St James Park made out of portacabins. Might do if he can fit in fan zone but will do something either way so you don't have to walk a long way away to get back to North and East Stand.


The main room has been upgraded. They are keeping it smart but not loading with heritage from the club so it looks the part for functions rather than just rugby events.
He will talk to heritage team about how they decorate Rollin Shack and other areas.


And the pie was nice but they ran out of peas.
