The fact that his rocks often come when we load the whole team on him may have something to do with that.
Completely agree. Lino has played a key part in winning both games v Castleford within the last 3 weeks yet is still getting a mention ahead of other quota players. He’s a decent super league half back and needs another half back to play alongside… Oli Russell is not the answer and although injured wasnt playing well. Walmsley needs moving on for Smoothy.

| I cannot understand the Walmsley issue, after those tries & stopping a try his ability is there for all to see, even Tom now has not the speed he used to have although I do think Tom may have shown him a thing or two as he did with Lewis Murphy ? Sure he can be exposed as all wingers can & do, his down side is returning the ball but even Tom does not now have a strength in this department. So, if we don't re - sign Walmsley where is there as ready made fast winger - committed to replace him ? Sure there may be a project player but that has it's learning curve problems ?

| Thinking of the next step for the team, only my opinion, I think we need an X factor game breaker, Wigan has two ! Game breakers costs are very expensive, problems can arise in there attitude thus to the team as a whole but Always working hard as a team is great but it only gets you so far ? It will be interesting where we go from here looking forward to next season, it may sound early but that's the new reality now Up the Trin.

| Dom Young anyone?! I know, he's likely to stay in Australia.

| I think most fans, including us posters, quite like Walmsley. It's not whether he (or Lino or Atoni for that matter) is a good player or not - it's whether we can sign better. Is Walmsley class when put in space? 100%. With a quota spot and money to offer, can we sign a better winger than Walmsley? Definitely.
Better prop than Atoni? Yep. Better half than Lino? Not sure. If you go through realistic targets...
Cade Cust Jordan Abdull Kieran Rush Rowan Milnes Tyrone May Matt Frawley Lachlan Lam Drew Hutchison Sean O'Sullivan Te Maire Martin Jackson Hastings Brad Schneider
...there are only two I'd prefer over Lino - Lam and Hastings. Lam probably won't leave his daddy, and Hastings is a bell by all accounts.

| Dom Young has been told he can find another club by the Roosters. Now that would be a statement signing.

Agree with this post. There are better players than Lino but they may not be available just yet. Better to stick with Lino and wait for the right target. Given how well he has played when alongside Trueman I’m more than happy for us to bide our time.

| Yes and of the two Butcher picked, Hastings is unlikely to fit the personality of the team Powell is building.
Also it isn't a one player question.
Trueman and Lino are clearly a good partnership. The real Xfactor is Trueman but he's also the vulnerable one. If we replace Lino we could just end up back in the same place.
If I'm spending big money I'd have to assess how likely Trueman is to stay fit. He might be the one to replace. But I hope not. If you keep them both we need a capable backup. Not sure Russell is it yet but we'll see. I think this season is the season we really find out about all 3. There's no real rush to go marquee straight away.
