I’ll be surprised if I see Walmsley, Atoni and Lino at Wakey next year personally.
Lino had another year after this?!

| Walmsley yes, Atoni probably, Lino not so sure. We’d have to be bringing in a top halfback to partner Trueman - a Lam, Croft, or Hastings - otherwise I don’t think there’s much sense in moving Lino on. He’s probably about the the 15th best half in super league.

| If Lino and Trueman can continue to develop their on-field partnership and produce more performances like we saw yesterday, then I would be happy to offer him another year at least. I admit he has been very hit and miss since he arrived but if the two of them can continue to work off each other then we may yet see the best version of him ???

| Consistency is key to everything isn’t it. Lino isn’t consistent enough to get us to being a consistent top 6 team on showing from previous years. I’ve got nothing against him, I think he is a talented player but is rocks and diamonds. He was excellent yesterday, no doubt. If he kept to that standard anyone would love to keep.
Obviously he’s had a really disjointed spine this year and seeing him and Trueman yesterday rip Cas apart was lovely to watch. We are certainly in the market for NRL players, it’ll be interesting to see whether Powell and Mills sees Lino as our 7 next year.

Lino had another year after this?! We both know that means nothing in modern RL

| The fact that his rocks often come when we load the whole team on him may have something to do with that.

| For me, Atoni would go, too many injuries now, he has ability but not sure about value for money especially considering playing time !

| Before any of this, we haven't secured Faatili as he only signed for 12 months which he declared himself !

So do you believe Lino is the 7 to get us to being a consistent top 6 team over the next 2 years?. He’s only 31 so got another 2/3 years in him.

I said many weeks ago we should be looking to tie Faatili up long term. There’s a lot of potential in him. Let’s hope we do sign him. As for Atoni, I always expected he would not be retained this season. Though there was a chance I suspect the 3/4 month injury that takes him out for most of the season puts paid to that idea. I have never been in the Atoni to stay camp but happy to support him if he does remain. With a lengthy injury that will take most of the season I do wonder if we will look to free up Atoni’s spot which could maybe be an option for remainder of this season. Will be interesting to see what we do and how recruitment goes this and next season.

Completely agree. Lino has played a key part in winning both games v Castleford within the last 3 weeks yet is still getting a mention ahead of other quota players. He’s a decent super league half back and needs another half back to play alongside… Oli Russell is not the answer and although injured wasnt playing well. Walmsley needs moving on for Smoothy.

| I cannot understand the Walmsley issue, after those tries & stopping a try his ability is there for all to see, even Tom now has not the speed he used to have although I do think Tom may have shown him a thing or two as he did with Lewis Murphy ? Sure he can be exposed as all wingers can & do, his down side is returning the ball but even Tom does not now have a strength in this department. So, if we don't re - sign Walmsley where is there as ready made fast winger - committed to replace him ? Sure there may be a project player but that has it's learning curve problems ?
