well done guys, fc fan here

glad you won, even more so after some of childs decisions, no yellow for the knee to lee smiths' head, no yellow for the professional foul on godinet, made even worse by leigh scoring moments later! then a yellow for what looked a soft decision made worse slowed down on tv

beat a kr team coming off a wembley high/low you should be safe!

Quote: Hasbag "In my opinion Sio should definitely have been sin binned for the crusher. It's a shocking tackle in my opinion that can do serious damage. The problem is, and the reason some of you will feel hard done to, is that every ref deals with it different. Some will just award a penalty and some will sin bin. All crushers need to be treat exactly the same.... A yellow card.
Should have been 2 yellows for Leigh. A professional foul near their line and of course the knee to the head.

I've enjoyed watching Wakey in this middle 8s. You're playing some lovely rugby. Today was more of a grind out win rather than fancy stuff but that was a good tactic. Leigh don't seem to like hard graft, they just throw the ball and hope something sticks.'"
your right with the Sio sin bin and may get further action, but what worries me was the knee into the back of our lad, that could has cost a players life when the kidney is damaged and that was over looked, all in all Child has proven to me that he was more bothered in keep the scores close, did we deserve the win? well we certainly didn't deserve to lose and if we end up with a million pound game against Leigh I do hope we end up with a ref that won't bottle it

Quote: Emley Cat "We ground it out second half and tackled much better than in the first. Very happy to have won though especially after being a man down for 10. You just knew we'd end up with one in the bin after he let 3 go for them. Absolute joke of a referee on that score and the video ref was borderline on Riley's try, some would've given that as a try.'"

Needed to Be played full speed that try if Riley's they got there at the same time for me. No prob with the Sio binning, agree with Hasbag, albeit I don't think there was malice, but talk about choosing when to use the VR and when not to. Child is an endbell

Well done, Wakey. I said you'd win this one earlier in the week. Okay, it was by one point, but a win's a win as they say.

Only seen a clip but the 'knee' to the head seemed very soft. A deliberate act but certainly not enough in it for a sending off or sin binning.

Great result. Possibly the toughest game the club had left in this mini league (aside from the potential play off) so to get a result like that is superb. Hope KR have a tough game next week both emotionally and physically.

Oh and can I just clarify, is winning a match by one point in the spirit of the game or not?

Well happy. Assuming we keep our heads against Fax and Sheffield one win from the other games may well do us for 3rd.

Sky team today got right on my tits.

Sio sin bin was correct, and als Smith in Kay, last man and stopped a dead certain try but that's how it goes. haggerty was a soft one but probably worth a yellow.

Think Leigh got the rub of the green in just about every department today.
I didn't see any dumb rugby ferom the wakey side today , just a totally coached game. The players once again did what was asked of them and kept their heads when required.
The team effort was brill and they certainly grinded the result , something we have not seen for a while.
Well done boys , you now have a week off to fine tune.

How did smith stop a certain try it was a high shot but didn't put him down so he still would have scored if it was going to be a dead certain try

If he'd have not taken his head off he would have been in for a try,the cover only came after he had been slowed down.

Loved it.

We made mistakes but we were under pressure from a team constantly off side and niggling in the tackle. It could easily have pushed momentum their way as they defended really well.

We toughed it out and found a way to win. That's remarkable considering where we've been this year.

Brian Smith is saving Wakefield step by step.
