"Stand by me as I stand by you, be brave and dare to dream".:

Quote: kinleycat "Your joking aren't you? they are the safest part of the stadium!!!!
I'd also suggest that our flats are considerably better than your retirement bungalows at the railway end!
I think you are over egging the facilities at the railway end personally!

I'm going to finish work early tomorrow so I can get down to see what I can do engineering wise,
at this moment I can only surmise that the barriers are either breaking away from the fixings or they wasn't put right in the first place,
like Bren has mentioned its been the wettest on history but the winter hasn't took hold as yet and that is where the damage will be done,

so as far as panic lets not because it could all change given a few good weeks work

Cut off the barriers.
Cut a hole.
Dig out the arisings and dispose
Cast a C35 / C50 slab in situ - guessing at 600 square by 500 deep - perhaps more.
Re-bolt barriers.
Repeat....

Simples! icon_cool.gif

well just got back from Belle Vue.

now I hope your not expecting a detail report of what's wrong and how we are going to fix the problems as it wouldn't be right to disclose to all and sundry on here.

what I can tell you is yes there a few issues that need addressing and from what we have spoken about today has been constructive enough to start a procedure so we know what we are dealing with.

both Michael and Chris have shown a lot of trust in the fans today turning up in opening the doors to the work that does need doing and it looks like we have the relative experience between us to get the problems sorted.

is it doable, yes, there are ways around it and are looking to try and find the quickest and cheapest way that can increase the capacity to near what we had before.

let me just say don't expect miracles as this isn't an over night fix but I'm sure the club will be able to show once again that it has every intention of fulfilling its obligation to the safety of the fans

we need your support not as much helping but understanding that the first few home games may have limitations ie stadium capacity

for all enquiries about work that is to be done its better addressed to the club if you can help

8or so including a couple of young ladies and yes only MC and KH could answer your question. In a nut shell, north stand could be a quick fix,but the east stand needs a bit more TLC and could take a little longer. icon_thumb.gif
