Frustrating thing was the amount of poor decisions in the game. Most of them were against wakefield aswell. Like the one when the saints player elbowed ben cockayne in the face he pushed him back and saints get the penalty. Josh Perry was bringing knee up into people's faces as they were going down totally uncalled for!

| Was delighted when Perry came back on for his second stint, as I knew it would only be a matter of time before we started getting penalties again.....I was right !!

I got told off by a steward for calling Perry a poohouse, I stand by my statement

Alibert was shocking for both sides, to say he kept us in the game is an absolute joke. The try Meli scored did look forward, but we had one pulled back for a forward pass that wasnt so evens it out there, one or two other bad calls but again I thought he was poor across the board.
Find it a bit sad that Wakey fans have seen their team deservedly win with a good performance and were the better team for the majority of the game, yet rather than talking about Cockayne's line breaks or Sykes controlling the play they would rather talk about Paul Wellens and the referee...wonder if those posters are the senile old blokes who blamed me personally and found me to be a disgrace to rugby league because Wellens spoke to the referee??
Back on topic, thought Saints were poor today and put way too much ball to ground and Wakefield took their chances well and deserved to win the game in the end, well done on a good display and good luck pushing for the top 8

| Thought Cowling was awesome - some great tackles and always first to drop on the ball in the latter part of the second half.
Showed great fitness. Looks good in the centres - totally outclassed Shenton.

| Fantastic performance today especially from the pack. I mentioned a few weeks back that I thought Ellis was the catalyst thats got the forwards performing better.
However watching foxy everyweek dosn't do the old ticker much good

You shouldn't have had two tries either, show some dignity man.

| Ellis v Aiton?
Who cares, there is little chance both players and Wood will make it through next season without injury or lack of form. It's nice to have the option. In fairness to Aiton a number of players have upped their games so I reckon he'd find it easy enough to step back in and thrive.
Have not forgotten Wood, but it's to be hoped now that like Ellis Aiton won't be expected to play a full game anymore.
It's not a worry IMHO.

It's never a worry when players are fighting for positions in the side and all are playing well...
It's not just the hooking slot either....players are coming in across the board and putting their hands up to claim a spot in the 17 every week.....
Fantastic position for Agar to be in and it's showing in the teams performances......
Great to see the homegrown youngsters coming in and doing well too.....Cowling did very well today and the likes of Walshaw, Trout etc are being blooded in very nicely (these the lads who were outstanding in the academy championship winning team, and there's a few more I reckon)......the next 12 months could be the start of something very special for us...!

| "Just remember that if you're not working at your game to the utmost of your ability, there will be someone out there somewhere with equal ability who is. And one day you'll play each other, and he'll have the advantage."
That is what happened today and Wakefield Trinity Wildcats were the better team 1-17 not St.Helens! (And were against Leeds, Castleford, Huddersfield). Well done to the squad and well done Richard Agar! You are not whipping boys
