The club would lose thousands.. and therefore wouldnt do it... although on tonights performance its the right thing to do.

Quote: El Rey "If i come to Cas and get told to stand in a particular section of the ground, i will not behave like an animal and i don't believe you did or would so i don't agree with you at all.

It lies firmly with drunken stupid idiots and no one else, i ain't defending the club mate but come on, if fans are dim and filled with beer it will happen.

No excuse for it.'"

To be fair Sue dont think this will happen although I'm not against the idea, don't know of any ground where you can't have a drink and the majority who do have a drink are responsible fans who wouldn't want to cause any trouble.

Very bold one sided statement! I was on the Wakefield side of the divide and I assure you Cas fans were throwing things over at us too!

Maybe, i did laugh when they announced "happy hour" in the bar after the game finished.

I don't know what the answer is but tonight i'm ashamed to be a Wakey fan on and off the field.

Apparently a number of known Featherstone Rovers "fans" were stood amongst the Wakefield fans tonight.

I know but maybe the \police will suggest it. Its a sad state of affairs people getting thrown out , throwing bottles at folk etc . Are they rugby fans ? Do they consider the consequences for the clubs ? Could be a fine for both clubs

Quote: classycas2009 "Sorry to post this but only word I can think at this time is sc um. My partner was hit by a GLASS bottle that was thrown across the north stand. Before any 1 says we both have a majority of bad fans, don't go there. Must have Been 50 missles thrown across which police ejected a large amount of wakey fans. Hats off to cas fans who didn't react. But some long bans r handed out. And well done to your BOD this was Always going to happen. This time I've walked out a away game and took my top off for my own safety. Sorry genuine fans but a disgrace.'"

The catalyst for trouble fundamentally started after the first Cas try, a Wakefield fan was seemingly hit by a missile and had a cut forehead. I don't think so many fans attended just for a potential fracas.

The most distressing thing for me was later in the game a Cas fan appeared to throw a Glass bottle at the roof above the Wakefield fans in what might have been an attempt to shower fans in shattered glass. Many fans coming out of the ground were claiming a Police officer was boasting he was a Cas fan and directing operations that meant mostly Wildcats fans were removed. TBH I think it might have been the case that the majority of Cas trouble makers were juveniles and Wakey fans being adults getting caught up in the provocation.

These games do tend to bring out people who don't usually go, add to that drinking all day, good Friday and the 'controversy' about the stand and we've seen what happens.

What can you expect when you have the bar open all afternoon and a 7.30 ko. Why did anyone sugest that just because there is a roof on all the wakey fans go to thye north end? we have never bothered before. It was a disaster waiting to happen. I bet there was no beer thrown or fighting where Mr Glover and his bloody cronies were seated.
